Social Events
Since entering UCD I have been involved in the organising of more than 20 society night club events. Next year I aim to give you the members of Q-Soc what you want in the events I will run throughout the year, such as:
‘Initiation!’ – Let’s start the year with a bang with a massive ‘Frat’ party!
‘Mystery Tour’ – Having been involved in the two successful mystery tours last year I know how epic these events can be and I was bitterly disappointed with its cancellation this year. I vow to return it to Q-Soc and UCD, running it in conjunction with Ents and B&L Soc.
‘Stockbrokers & Secretaries’ – Guys, get your power suits on! Girls, how sexy can a Secretary be? With fantastic best dressed prizes on the night!
Class Parties: Q-Soc did not fulfil its promise this year to your classes. As Auditor I will provide a system for you and your class to elect a class rep who will be given a budget to spend on you!
With me as Auditor Q-Soc:
• Will provide your class with FREE food and drink at your class parties. This is the norm with other large societies, why not Q-Soc!
• Will pay a subsidy towards your Class Trips
• Gone to the Dogs: Organise parties at the Shelbourne dog track.
‘Bro’s before Hoe’s’ Nights – You know all those nights where you and the lads just can’t find a good place to watch the big game? For big matches such as the Rugby World Cup or the Champions League Finals I will provide the Big Screen, the beer, the pizza for the best guy’s night in.
Q-Soc Ladies Night: Don’t worry Q-soc won’t be forgetting the Girls. With Cocktails, Male Slave Auction, Manicurists and Massages, all for your pleasure.
Q-sino: You feeling lucky?? I’m already in talks towards running a series of casino nights in one of Dublin’s best casinos with for all you gamblers.
‘Quinn Vs Ag Charity Day’ - Throughout my time in Quinn I’ve sensed somewhat of a dislike between the faculties. As Q-Soc Auditor I want to allow them each to fight it out, all in the name of charity which will include:
• A Quinn Vs Ag Debate: Neil Delamere of ‘The Panel’ will be pitted against Ross O’Carroll Kelly’s Paul Howard
• The Final Showdown: 1st half Tip Rugby, 2nd half GAA
• Colours Night: Rugby Jersey’s & Uggs Vs GAA Jersey’s & Wellies
‘Quinn Ball’ – If elected, I will take 600 of Quinn’s students dressed in their finest: put them in buses, add a 5* Hotel, mix with great music, and add dash of Wine, and you have all the ingredients for a great night.
Q-Soc at the Races: Never been to the races or are you a shrewd tipster? Either way with Andy as Auditor you can come to the races with Q-Soc and mingle with the fine fillies & full blooded stallions on offer.
The Quinn Super Cup’s (Soccer & Tag Rugby): As Q-Soc Auditor I want involve every Quinn class in two Championships: one for 11-a-soccer and another for tag rugby with fantastic prizes.
Q-Soc J1 Option Shop: As Q-Soc Auditor I will run a J1 night where Q-Soc members thinking of going away for the summer can come and talk to students who where away on J1 (or Canada or Thailand)

Academic Events
As Auditor I want to not only bring you the most interesting talks with high profile speakers but also help students with simple things that can be done to make academic life in Quinn so much easier.
Q-Soc Exams Bus to Blackrock: We all know it’s a pain getting to Blackrock for exams. When I’m Auditor I will provide a bus to the exams leaving you with one less thing to think about.
Online Books & Grinds: Can’t find cheap books or grinds? As Q-soc Auditor I will provide info on the cheapest 2nd hand books and grinds using the underutilised Q-soc website while also working closely with our new Education Officer to ensure reasonably priced grinds are provided for all subjects.
Student Mode/Elective choice evening: For penultimate year students I will run an event which allows you to talk to students who chose the subject so you find out what you need to know before you make that choice.
Tired of burned out politicians and retired judges?
As Q-Soc Auditor I will bring high profile, interesting business speakers to Quinn:
Michael O’Leary, Richard Branson, Denis O’Brien are the types of speakers which I can readily bring to UCD for events and talks.
