Life is too short to wake up with regrets... So love the people who treat you right... Forget about the ones who don't... Believe everything happens for a reason... If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands... If it changes your life, let it... Nobody said life would be easy, but it will be worth it!

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Josh's accident. I can still remember where I was, what I was doing & all the thoughts that flooded my mind when I got the call. No one could really prepare for what was going to take place in the next 4 days. Tuesday, the 16th, will be 2 years since he went home to be with the Lord. His funeral had to be one of the hardest days of my life. Josh was a friend & one of the greatest guys you could ever meet. If you knew him, then you loved him... He was just that kinda guy. Through his death I realized how precious life was & how real death really is.

September 30 will mark 5 years since my precious Grandma passed away. She was strong, beautiful, faithful & so dear to everyone she ever met. Her smile could light the darkest room & she was the lady to go to whenever you needed encourgement. She was sick for many years, but she never lost her faith in God. Her Legacy lives on & I pray that her kindness will live on through me!

September isn't always a month I look forward to. When I think of dates like today, the 12, or the 16th, or the 30th.. It makes me really miss those that have come into my life, but are now gone. At the same time, it can be a joyus time when I think of where Josh & Grandma both are right now. They are free from pain, heartache, suffering, & sin! THAT is where I long to be one day! I wonder if they could see me now, if they could see all of us.. the ones that they left behind here on earth..What would they see??... Would they see us mourning? Would they see us bitter towards God? Would they see us dwelling so much on the past that we forget how precious today is? I think they would like to see us striving for Heaven & realize that they really are in the best place possible.

What would they say if they could speak to us now?!... I am sure they would say something like this... Keep Fighting, I want you to be here with me one day, love with no reservation, Make every moment count, Fight for what's right, Heaven really is worth it all!!

I know we can all say that we have lost someone we loved. I just wanted to take this time to remember 2 great people in my life that I lost. Some blame God for the people that have come & gone from their lives, but I realize they are just 2 more reasons I want to make Heaven my home!!

The Past is behind me

Yesterday has come & gone
Tomorrow will be here before too long
Today I must live my best for you, Jesus, no matter what goes wrong

Everything happens for a reason
And I will trust God in every season
His plans for me are greater than I can even think or ask
But I must trust in Him to bring it to pass
Today, I want to aim to please The Master
If I try to do it on my own it will only turn into a disaster
Jesus, I surrender my Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow
Because you have Great plans for me & I choose to trust in You!
