ong story short..
Johnny Allen (later changed to James Marshall) Hendrix was born in Seattle, Washington in 1942. As a child he spent his spare time playing guitar and soon became very skilled. He joined the millitary at a later age but was soon dissmissed for a back injury.
After being homeless for a while he joined a band with his old army buddies Larry Lee and Billy Cox, among others, and it wasn't long before his attention grabbing stage
performances
got him noticed
by record
executives.
He was
flown to
england to
form a band
and to record
his debut
album.He picked Drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding (Because he thaught he had great rythm and partly because he liked his hair), they recorded their debut album and the rest is history...
