    You know I always thought I was a bit scottish, hence being called Alasdair?
    It turns out my great grand parents (Mum's side) blagged. I'm not a bit scottish. My great grandfather was born in Sherburn Hill and then moved to Urpeth Co Durham before moving to Liverpool to meet my great grandmother and build the Mersey Tunnel. His name was Laverick. He had family in Shiney Row, Houghton le Spring, Easington and Sunderland. This means I am truly Mackem Scum. Working in Sunderland was the mother ship calling me home. If you have any relatives called Laverick you are related to me. Sobering thought!
