After the repeated debate it is time to publish the ratings for the gigs i've been to in 2007:
Bloc Party (Music Hall Aberdeen) - 2/10 - just plain awful
Killers (AECC Aberdeen) - 8/10 - like a musical but louder
MUSE (Wembley Stadium, London) - 9/10 - simply immense
Foo Fighters (Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh) - 7.5/10 - good
Red Hot Chili Pepers (Hampden Park, Glasgow) - 5/10 - tired and not good enough
Fratellis (AECC Aberdeen) - 4/10 - did they play the same song 12 times?
Editors (Music Hall Aberdeen) - 6/10 - average but fun
Stereophonics (AECC Aberdeen) - 8.5/10 - better than I ever imagined
Kings of Leon (AECC Aberdeen) - 8.5/10 - quality sound, intense and so arrogant. Excellent.
Manic Street Preachers (Music Hall Aberdeen) - 6/10 - must have been amazing 10 years ago. Not any more though.
Arctic Monkeys - OFFSHORE. Heard they were quite good
Queens of the Stone Age (Corn Exchange Edinburgh) - 7.5/10 - quality act. Didn't love them tho
Babyshambles (Barrowlands, Glasgow) - 9/10 - raw and fun. Plenty of beer everywhere. Docherty ended up in the crowd.

Pub Golf
To celebrate the departure of Ken to Dubai next week somebody suggested we played pub golf. So we did. Eleven of us on a fine Saturday afternoon. Much to the amusement of many locals. 2 towns, 12 pubs, 2 trains, 1 chippy, 1 bookies a few drinks and massed carnage.

3. The Train to Stonehaven. Polite.
4. The Station Hotel. Large bottle of Magners.
5. The Marine Hotel. Spicey & Coke and a Tequila chaser
5. The Ship Inn. Small Bottle of Red Wine
6. The Ship Inn. Generous Glass of Port
7. The Ship Inn. 1/2 Pint of Guiness and a Tequila chaser
8. The Ship Inn. Tequila
9. Carron Chipper. A Deep Fried Marsbar
10. William Hill. The 16:44 at Newcastle (Not the 16:40 in Barhain muppet)
11. The Market Bar. Glayva
12. O'Malleys. Blu Wicked and a Laphroig Chaser
13. The Station Hotel. Pernod and Black
The train back - massed banter fighting and hat throwing

Well, we made it. Had a bloody good day. Only minor injuries sustained and nobody got in trouble. Everyone made it round and there was only one tactical spew. Heads were not in good shape on Sunday.
