Before I married my wife we argued on the childrens names .In our culture the first born in the family....the mans` family was given the priviledge to name the baby after his family...today i sadly saw that tradition has been disappeared.

My wife complained that it was her promise she kept to her bestfriend, that our eldest daughter shall be named after her. I was furious, and mad...(sorry best friend if you read this) but hey it was the truth. I did not know naming babies would be so difficult. My wife hang up on me one time on the phone when I disagreed with her. She once told me "Honey your being unfair you don`t respect me!"click there goes the phone...

Talk about respect..what about giving me some respect mah dear mah stralin! Anyways I won the battle of naming my eldest kid after my family (eventhough she or he is not born yet..lol!)...yep strategy well planned: determination, and never give up...i simply told her don`t use my last name if that baby will be born...that was just the lip talking..but i was only kidding to win the baby name debate..

I even told her the promises she made between her and her bestfriend was not going to cometrue.."my dear promises were meant to be broken."i told her. I teased her a lot...but I could see she was hurt. My wife is always an honest person trying to commit to what she knows it`s in her heart. She is a really bad lier, I can easily detect she is lying when her eyes are moving from side to side.I know her well that is what I love about her.

After we got married there were many baby names people were throwing at us. My wife, and I felt the pressure of having kids too soon. I knew my wife adored, and cherished kids but the stress of having them was too much on her.
We now have a baby name for our eldest daughter but the name debate on a baby boy is still in the process.

In my family there were 7 of us 6 boys and one girl. The young girl who I loved, and cherished died of a car accident when she was only in kindergarten. Today its just 6 of us now, and all boys. So my goals of having children is to have a netball team, but my wife disagrees she wants to have a rugby team as well. In her family it is only two of them. Just her, and her older sister. For her she always wished, and wonder what was like to have a brother.

For us now, we hope that God will bless us with a child someday, and will be very thankful if is a girl or boy...yellow,pink,black or purple...will be thankful for his blessings...we want to provide them with a better home, and a great life just as our parents had given so much for us.

I don`t know what the fuss is about, but some tradition in our country has to be maintained, and respected. Have more kids if you want to name the kids after your whole family, your favorite actress or actor...There is no commandments in the bible that says "Stop thy pregnancy or you will be doom forever!"

Ia a fai aku lava le toalua e oso ma oso! ha ha! jokes! I love my wife but some boundaries should never be crossed..(like naming my eldest kid)ha ha! it takes two to mingle to make a baby. I respect the mothers for carrying the child for 9 months..but hey if this ship did not sail... there wouldn`t be babies in the first place...Right? My hats off to the brothers out there...where-ever you are doing your seedling..

Pleaseeeeeeee ladies,mothers,your highnesses let us have this joy,dignity, and pride that is left in our culture to keep it, and nourished it from generation to generation.
