imagine this:
its a Thursday night and ur at a church prayer meetin wen some1 runs in and says,"turn on a radio, turn on a radio."

wile the church listens to the radio the announcement is made: "2 women r lyin in a hospital dyin from the mystery flu."

within hrs it seems, this thing jus sweeps the country. Ppl r workin round the clock tryin 2 find an antidote. Nothin is workin. Belfast, Lurgan, Omagh. It's jus sweepin in from the borders.

then, all of a sudden the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can b made.

Its gona take the blood of some1 hu hasn bin infected,so,sure enuf, all through the world, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, every1z asked to do 1 simple thing: Go to the hospital and hav ur blood type takn.

u hear the sirens go off in ur neighbourhood, pls make ur way quickly to the hospitals. Sure enough, wen u and ur family get down there later on that nite, theres a long line, nurses and doctors r comin out, prickin fingers, taking blood and putting labels on it. ur family r out there, and they take ur blood type and say,"Wait here in the car park and if we call ur name, u can be dismissed and go home."

u stand around, scared, wonderin wats goin on..is this the end of the world.

Suddenly a young man cums runnin out of the hospital screamin. He's yellin a name and wavin a clipboard. He yells it again! ur son tugs on ur jacket, "Daddy, that's me." Bfore u know it, theyve grabed ur boy. Hold on! And they say,"It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure. We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type."

5 tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and hugging one another -- some r even laughin.

a doctor walks up to u and says, "Thanks,ur son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine."

As the word begins to spread all across the car park, people r screamin,prayin,laughin and cryin. But then the doctor pulls u and ur wife aside and says, "May we see you for a moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need...we need u to sign a consent form."

u begin to sign and then u see that the number of pints of blood to be taken is empty. "H-how many pints?"

And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be a little child. We weren't prepared.

We need it all!"

"But-but...u don't understand."

"We r talking about the world here. Please sign. We-we need it all!"

"But can't u give him a transfusion?"

"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign?"

"Wud u sign?" In numb silence, u do. then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?"

Can u walk back? Can u walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?"

Can u say, "Son, we love you, and we wud never ever let anything happen to u that didn't just have to be. Do u understand ?"

And wen that old doctor cums bak in and says, "I'm sorry, we've--got to get started. People all over the world are dying." Can u leave?

Can u walk out wile he is saying, "Dad? Mum? Dad? y - y have u forsaken me?"

then nxt week, wen they hav a ceremony to honor ur son, some ppl sleep through it, and some ppl don't even come because they cant b bothered, and some folks come with a pretentious smile and just pretend to care.

Wud you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON'T YOU CARE?"

Is that what GOD wants to say? "MY SON DIED FOR YOU. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"
