- Christina Aguilera was born Catholic on December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York. She began her musical career early in life at the young age of nine, when she tried out for star search. She unfortunately did NOT win, but still pursued music and just one year later she tried out for the Mickey Mouse Club. Again, she didn't make the cut, but two years later, Disney wanted her back, and joined her future fellow pop singers, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
Christina's first big break was singing the great ballad "Reflection" which you probably saw in Disney's "Mulan". In 1999, she released her first album, "Genie in a Bottle". Since then, Christina released a Spanish album, "Mi Reflejo", "Stripped" in 2002 and most recently "Back to Basics" a throwback album in tribute to Christina's most inspirational period: the 20s/30s/40s.
