Hooray!
An Indian farmer has married his dog in a bid to overcome what he believes is a curse caused by him having stoned to death two mating dogs in his rice field.
The 34-year-old farmer, identified as Selvakumar from Sivaganga district in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, fell on bad fortune 15 years ago after killing the dogs and hanging their carcasses from a tree.
A few days later, his hearing and speech were impaired and he was unable to walk.
Doctors were clueless, but an astrologer finally told him he was cursed by the spirits of the dogs he had killed. He could undo the curse only if he married a dog and live with it, the soothsayer said.
After a long search for a 'suitable bride', Selvakumar managed to get a four-year-old mongrel bitch from a friend and had a fully-fledged Hindu wedding in front of villagers and elders on Sunday, eyewitnesses said.
The canine bride, named Selvi, was adorned in a sari and flowers and brought to the temple by village women. A Hindu priest conducted the ceremony.
The reports, however, said Selvi the dog attempted to make a run for it -- apparently due to the large crowds -- but was eventually tracked down and returned to her new 'husband'.
"The dog is only for lifting the curse and after that, he plans to get a real bride," a friend of the groom said.

Boohoo; A rant
My phone broke itself. It sort of self destructed; all of a sudden it turned off and proceeded to tell me that the sim card was missing. I'm feeling a bit Tom Cruise á la Mission Impossible, I've spent the last while shaking the phone, hitting it off things(maybe not the best idea...) and also examining and reinserting the sim card but ALAS! Phone no worky
AND, as I said on my facebook thing, I spilt nail varnish remover on my Justin Timberlake ticket, and it now resembles something very dissimilar to a concert ticket, which is mildly traumatic.
AND, to really top off my day, I finished rereading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which is really a very upsetting book, so all in all, I'm not a happy bunny!! And it's easter! It's all about bunnies and this, as such, is just a travesty. Ow, I just hit my elbow off my mug!
God that's terrible to moan so much, but as Bina may tell you one day, it's in my name guys so what do you expect

Yeah, she grew up in the gaeltacht glen-finn, nothing much left there anymore, like the house still, there empty but havnt been up there in ages. Didnt do that much, just watched da tv. Sounds nice, always nice a wee change, but yeah, da roads are awful this weather, takes like four times the normal time to get anywhere
But OMG it hilarious, here at home we just got some peacocks yesterday, so so so so noisy, they start their screaching from like 5am in the morning

Hey ya,
not that fluent in irish sorry, my mum the only native speaker in the house. But omg still having nightmares about that exam
. Am just the core ones I think, been thinking about taking a third year comp module, in connectionist computing, sounds really interesting, model the functioning of the brain. Still have to hear back though from the course coordinator though. There's am a good physics module if u'r interested, I done it last year, physics of macro-organisms. Its really easy and quite interesting, examines the structure of bones, to the muscles involved in the beating of a humming birds wings, to the famous nernest equation, which explains the flow of current through a nerve fibre. Oh yeah finally got a boat and went out from killybegs yester morning. Was sooooooooo cold, went out about 20 miles, though got a bit rough and had to come in a few miles. Was really strange the only others, were a german and a belgium couple over on holidays. Caught 4 colie and a cod

i wish you and your family a very merry christmas and a great new year...
Netti 1 Replyi have 5h left and then i'm on my way home...*yay*
