- Its been a while since I lost a phone (touch wood!) Bob has been a brave monkey and managed to defend it from those pesky giant blue spotted dragon flies!
I'm still a Mechanical HVAC Tech for TYCO but I've moved on from the Scott platform and i'm now whats classed as a North Sea Gypsie. I'm not on any particular platform but i travel around the North Sea doin different things in different places which, after 19months of doing the same thing trip in trip out, is just what the doctor ordered!
I'm beginning to feel really old and i don't like it, I'm still not growing up tho!

Baden Powell's farewell letter to Scouts worldwide
"Dear Scouts, If you have ever seen the play ‘Peter Pan’ you will remember how the pirate chief was always making his dying speech because he was afraid that possibly when the time came for him to die he might not have time to get it off his chest. It is much the same with me, and so, although I am not at this moment dying, I shall be doing so one of these days and I want to send you a parting word of goodbye.
Remember, it is the last you will ever hear from me, so think it over. I have had a most happy life and I want each one of you to have a happy life too. I believe that God put us in this jolly world to be happy and enjoy life. Happiness doesn’t come from being rich, nor merely from being successful in your career, nor by self-indulgence. One step towards happiness is to make yourself healthy and strong while you are a boy, so that you can be useful and so can enjoy life when you are a man.
Nature study will show you how full of beautiful and wonderful things God has made for the world to enjoy. Be contented with what you have got and make the best of it. Look on the bright side of things instead of the gloomy one. But the real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people. Try and leave this world a little better than you found it and when your time comes to die, you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best. ‘Be Prepared’ in this way, to live happy and die happy – stick to your Scout Promise always – even after you have ceased to be a boy – and God help you to do it.

21st World Scout Jamboree 2007
My Jamboree adventure starts on Wed 25th July...............
It’s now Tue 24th the day before we set off for the jamboree and I still have loads to do. I even have badges to sew onto my shirt but I may well take on that task with the miracle of wonder-web!....Its official! Wonder Web is the future! Got back from the Jamboree a few days ago and my badges survived.
I still haven't adjusted to life at home yet to b honest not sure if i will?!? I met so many people and experienced so many cultures i'm not sure where to begin or even if i can remember everything. First of all i have to mention My Jamboree Unit, North of Scotland, UK-074. They're all amazing each and everyone. I'm proud and honoured to have shared such an experience with them all, Leaders and Participants. North Point Till I Die!
I watched a Mexican play The Phantom of the Opera on the accordion, I went kayaking with scouts from Thailand and Italy, I tried snail cooked in garlic butter by the French to name but a few memorable moments. I dressed up in a Dutch dress, my yellow romper suit and went raving top to toe in fluorescent clothing all in the name of fun.
Bring on Sweden 2011!

Not bad. I'm attempting to make the most of the good weather. I was at a scout barbeque on friday and then guide camp saturday/sunday. That was bizarre. Also, my explorers have decided the fundraising event they want to do is a sponsored all nighter (which I have turned into a sponsored all night campfire). What about you? Doing anything exciting this summer?
