- originally i am from pensacola florida, but have been at ft drum for the last year. yeah the winters here are amazing. driving over to lake placid either in the winter for skiing or the summer for mountain biking is a lot of fun. most of my activities are outdoors such as biking, canoeing, or diving, but i do enjoy a cool movie on a comfortable couch. since my college education focused on biology and chemistry, i have a deep appreciation for nature. i notice the rare species and untouched ecosystem. amusingly, after college i worked as a steel artist mostly for architects and interior designers. i designed and built furniture, stair cases, lamps, chandeliers, stainless steel kitchens, and dining tables for conservative to post modern style homes and businesses. lived a very care free life style for ten years until i decided to join the army ha-ha. i just really felt that i must do my part in defense of the country. hey, flag waving and bumper stickers are just not going to get the job
