Kia Ora Karena, I am the youngest daughter of Erueti Gray Russell, Joe(the moassie) is my brother and Hailz is my eldest daughter. I was at the 1982 Russell Reunion in Temuka which our parents had organised. Have you thought of organising a Reunion in Wellington?? Would love to meet up with the whanau! Your photos of whanau are so neat to see. There has been alot of babies been born down here over the last year and it would be the best to join up with more whanau which we don't know. We have the Russell clan down Dunedin, i.e. Taiaroa Heads/Otakou where our dad and his brothers and sisters grew up. So beautiful down there. Just great to finally share whakapapa with you. xoxo

Kia ora cuz I've been meaning to write but have been so busy. I've got alot to say & would love to do it over coffee instead of over the phone or net. I've actually tried looking for you guys a couple of times. The last time i was in wellington i was getting some ta moko work done by some whanau up there & i tried ringing a very old number that was in a autograph book from the reunion in 82 that my aunty had but i had no luck. My ta moko is stil a work in progress which means i'll be returning to wellington when i'm ready for my next session i use to live in temuka with ned russell-my poua & i remember my poua telling me about our whanau up north. Did u manage to get inside for the service or were u one of the thousand that were left outside.
We were all sitting upstairs, that was my cousin Lynne Pere (nee Russell) from Wellington who did the karanga when the body was brought up the front ... an cousin Tracy Snee who did the karanga when he was brought outside.
