I have a new book coming out Oct 7, 2008--Genius and Heroin (HarperCollins). I wanted to look at the link between creativity and self-destruction in this book--or can the very talent, genius, or drive that makes someone really brilliant, the same thing that kills them? I included greats from ancient times to the current scene, but still only included a handful in this 400 page book. Let me know who you thought was the greatest burned out genius of all time.
