About Me

Me, Myself, and I
Following the overwhelming success of their first 2 albums, 'Inside In/Inside Out' and 'Konk' (scoring UK chart positions no.2 and no.1 respectively,) combined with a hectic worldwide touring schedule that saw the band on the road for most of 2008, The Kooks took a brief step back from the limelight earlier this year and retreated to a friend's house in Norfolk...

It was here, in a converted farmhouse in East Anglia, where work on their much anticipated 3rd album began. Writing sessions in Marseilles followed but, never ones to stray from the energy of the stage for too long, the band returned to the road earlier this summer for a string of European festival dates and headline shows in South America. During these shows they accumulated a wealth of photo/video footage which can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/THEKOOKSOFFICIAL and on this page.

  • Summer round-up + next for THE KOOKS

    In April THE KOOKS played a one off intimate gig at Zanzibar in Liverpool, kicking off a 6 month stint of live dates throughout Europe and South America...

    Over 30 shows, 14 countries, one terrifying plane ride, numerous guitar strings and several hundred thousands of amazing Kooks fans later, the band landed back in the UK the weekend before last, rounding things up with a secret set at Bestival. Photos from this set and all the Summer dates can be viewed at http://www.facebook.com/THEKOOKSOFFICIAL, as well as all the behind the scenes footage of the band, shot on the road (Videos section left of the Wall.)

    And as for the here and now - we are pleased to inform you that the band are currently situated in the rehearsal studio with sights firmly set on completing The Kooks 3rd album and recording due to begin soon.
