"Third Day and Brad Avery have made the very difficult decision to part ways. We appreciate Brad’s many contributions to the band's career to date, including his work on our forthcoming album, but the time has come for us to follow our separate paths. He has been an important part of Third Day for the last 13 years as we've traveled the world together and performed over 1,000 concerts. We will miss him as a band member but he will always remain our brother and our friend. Brad is a wonderful person, gifted songwriter and talented musician. Atheist, Agnostic or downright Heathen, you cant deny these guys rock.

I can’t believe I’m at the front AGAIN. The guys come out on the stage. The crowd goes freakin wild. Well I was freakin wild. I think at first my sister Beatrice tried to calm me down or something, but then she realised that wasn’t going to happen.
David Carr, behind the drums, taps rhythmatically on the symbol ushering in the fan favourite “Rockstar” and my goodness, the excitement is almost tangible. These incredible Georgia rockstars were about to give us a show! A chorus of electric guitars put butterflies in your stomach. The hydraulics judder the floor.
Mac Powell is rocking it man. His powerful voice carries across the ecstatic crowd. “I wanna be a Rockstar, but I ain’t got what it takes, I wanna be a Rockstar, but I ain’t got the face!”

We’re all very excited but our eyes are travelling around the stage at each of these stars. The stars we have seen on CD covers and posters, but now they r here in the flesh. Talented guitarist Mark Lee is in the zone at the far right of me. His hair is cool short. The chorus drops and we all start jumping like crazy people, but I think you’re crazy if you don’t start jumping. Mac was even jumping for goodness sake. The guy next to me didn’t even move an inch! The whole time he was stationary! I did try not to jump all over him though. Yes! “Come On Back To Me” The guitar frequency dances in our ears.

Awesome guitarist Brad Avery is about a metre away from me, doing all these ridiculous facial expressions that makes me and my sister Tokoni laugh at every glance. I think that at one point he actually believed he was at one with his guitar. Lol.
Mac was so close I could see how clean his teeth were. I’m throwing up my hands at this world-class performance. Everything sounds exactly the same as the CD, absolutely perfect. You can feel the base; you can hear the crisp precision on the electric guitars, so live.
Bass player Tai Anderson is travelling around the stage constantly; I can’t even get a good photo. The guy is really funny. Mac has the mic in his hand, Tai pretends not to realise and goes over to the mike stand in an attempt to sing, and then hi face drops comically at the realisation . Mac has no idea he is doing this, echoing the intimacy of the performance, because you could miss it.
These guys are so brilliant that it makes you wonder why they are Christian artists. They could make so much green in the mainstream industry. We are so privileged to be there with them. The venue wasn’t that big so you feel like it’s more intimate. Mac Powell is looking at all the people in the crowd almost one at a time, thanking us for being there.
I was so happy because at frenzy in 2005, he invited people onto the stage to sing a song with him . He looked at my sister and I. More directly, he looked at me, and asked me if I knew the words. But err, I didn’t, and it is my instinct NOT to lie, and even if I did lie, what good would it do cos I’d embarrass myself in front of 5000 people!
Mac looked at me during “Tunnel” and was singing the words right.
Tai Anderson is right in front of I and my sister again, he toys comically with idea of stepping onto the precarious pole that would allow him to get closer to us. We laugh a s he shakes his head. He does this a few times, and it's not any less humorous. Mac later makes that decision and the crowd grab his hands as he continues to sing. The bodyguard doesn’t seem all that concerned; I mean he doesn’t know he is anyway right? Lol. Besides, we’re not gonna hurt him, we love the guy to bits.
When he returns to the stage to give us our next song, for a second I just look around and can’t believe I’m actually there with these guys. As he sings, I see Mac glance down at the floor at the sheet of paper with all the songs on it. The shee
