I like music, and listen to almost every style and era. I have become known in my school as a walking music library because i lend out cds to people and love talking about different music.

Let me tell you my opinion
About the corporate classes:
The exploiting rich and the exploited masses.
Call it what you will,
The system or the machine;
The thing that destroys the Third World’s dreams.
I have read, listened, watched on TV
And just experienced enough in life to see
That we live in a world
Filled with grief and poverty
That is as artificial and fake
As the junk food that we’re provided.
And it hurts me to think
About how we are kept divided
As a society –
Based on the idealism
Of, “Me, me, me...
My money… My plasma TV…”
Its sad how greedy and how materialistic
We’re encouraged to be
In a society that calls itself developed.
We go ballistic
At the taxes we must pay
And I suppose that’s ok
Because we don’t need heavy tax
To prop up the economy.
It’s a fact
That there are those
Who take all the money.
They rotate between upper business, government and law;
Killing men of the people
Like “Dr King”, “Torrijos”, “Guevara” and more.
Anyone who stands up to the rich
And stands up for the poor.
This is a problem not pinned on one man.
It’s an attitude that chokes our land.
It’s the attitude of getting rich at any cost;
Kicking down next to nothing, saying,
“Minimum expenses lost.”
Don’t think this doesn’t apply to you.
The middle class are economic slaves too.
We’re just too well educated to be kicked into being nothing.
Although, that’s being tried – education is watered down
Until we’re left with cultureless kids drinking on the town,
Blowing smoke through their pierced lips and nose,
Looking like idiots in conformist droves.
To help explain the perpetrators of this ridiculous system
I’ll reference a book I read recently
About our lack of true democracy.
It labels the oppressors
As the ‘corporatocracy’.
Definition:
The people behind-the-scenes,
Who maintain the machine.
The people who own and control
International business and government.
The people really calling the shots.
The people really calling who gets shot.
I’ve done my research
And I’ve found I agree
That we are ruled by men
Who are ruled by greed.
What’s almost entertaining
If it wasn’t so serious
Is that the people sustaining this system
Are not evil at all.
They just don’t want their share price to fall.
They just think its ok to give jobs to people in Japan.
Isn’t a dollar a day better than nothing for a man?
But with international business, comes international debt,
The destruction of the environment, misery, poverty and regret.
We wonder why the proletariat immigrates here to get away?
We wonder why they hate us and bomb us each day?
We take their forests or their oil
It must make their blood boil
And in return
Instead of being concerned,
I see discrimination
To people yellow, black or brown.
I’ve been called a ‘fucking paki’
In Newcastle town.
And I’m mixed race.
English as can be.
My Mom is 1st generation
With black Jamaican ancestry.
And my Mom’s parents don’t smoke weed.
And yes she worked her ass off to get into university.
She’s the eldest of nine kids, born and raised in a hole
But I love it where she’s from, the people care and have soul.
This just goes to show
How the society the powers impose,
Supposedly developed – the perfect state,
Is actually lacking and not that great
Because it’s full of drug abusers and suicides
And people in offices with grey monotonous lives.
And the system is dependent on the Third World to survive –
Dependent on workers with more dead kids than alive.
So, I’ve been thinking about the paths I can choose.
I think I’ve chosen where my wrath will be set loose.
I’ll study hard
At business, politics and law
Until I know the system’s ins, outs and back doors.
Then, from the inside, I’ll rip it apart
Using non-profit organizations
And speaking from the heart.
