      Planetlove WKD Festival Returns To Shane’s Castle!

      Blasting in to the second decade of their illustrious career PLANETLOVE return to Shane’s Castle with their most exclusive festival to date!

      The spectacular event sees over 70 acts from across the world fly in to perform across seven arenas in the historic surrounds of the County Antrim venue - and this is your only chance to catch a number of the leading acts in Ireland this year.

      Trance sensation PAUL VAN DYK headlines the fiesta, reclaiming his crown as the ‘unofficial PLANETLOVE festival resident’ - his only 2009 Irish appearance.

      And in a festival that pushes boundaries as much as it facilitates the expected, production phenomenon ATB makes his PLANETLOVE debut - forget ‘9pm Til I come’ and be prepared to be astonished by a true studio genius who delivers elegant yet overtly powerful trance and DJ sets that will blow you away. Yet another exclusive!

      Other marvels include Fedde Le Grand, Judge Jules and Irish hero John O’Callaghan, while Showtek, Technoboy, Kate Lawler, Scot Project, Dave Pearce, Dream Frequency and Maria Nayler promise to deliver a plethora of world renowned DJ/live performances.

      The showpiece LOVE Arena is once again the beating heart of the festival, while UK hard dance kings Goodgreef return to PLANETLOVE with their formidable Xtra Hard Arena and Radio 1 legend Dave Pearce hosts his very own Trance Anthems tent.

      Add to that the Rendezvous Arena, plush Hed Kandi VIP area, Homegrown Arena and the stunning Cool FM Outdoor Stage that will play host to the biggest party tunes past and present and you have the catalyst for an enchanted festive atmosphere that celebrates the past and embraces the future of electronic music on the island!

      Planetlove Unveil 10th Birthday Weekend Plans!
      Ten years ago, on the western banks of Lough Neagh, something very special happened.

      A couple of thousand dance music fans gathered for what was Northern Ireland’s first outdoor music festival, to witness a handful of international DJs, some national DJs and many local DJs perform at the very first Planetlove.

      Ten years on, many thousands of people more and appearances from almost every celebrated DJ and dance act around the world later, and PLANETLOVE has become Ireland’s biggest and most celebrated dance music brand, and along the way, has intrinsically shaped the electronic music scene of Ireland.

      This year PLANETLOVE celebrates its tenth anniversary –and as anticipated, and hoped for - and debated by many people for many years – the event will be nothing short of spectacular.

      For the first time ever, PLANELOVE will be held over two days at Shane’s Castle, County Antrim on Friday 5th and 6th September, 2008, and the event will include full camp site.

      On Friday 5th September 2008 PLANELOVE WKD will host none other than Tiesto in Concert, and his ‘In Search of Sunrise Tour’. The world’s biggest dance music star Tiesto last appeared in Northern Ireland in March 2007 for a King’s Hall show that sold out within three weeks of going on sale. His concert shows have seen him transformed from a famous DJ to an international superstar and household name.

      On Saturday 6th September 2008, PLANETLOVE WKD will take place at Shane’s Castle. The full - and impressive - feetival line up for this will be unveiled on June 6th at PLANETLOVE's official website www.planetlovemusic.com.

      And yet more good news is that BBC Radio 1 will once again be present and broadcasting from the event.

      PLANETLOVE is the creation of husband and wife team Eddie Wray and Judith Farrell-Rowan and their Northern Irish company PLM Promotions.

      The extent of the plans for the 10th Anniversary Planetlove WKD weekend event has necessitated two launches. The first launch party took place at Planetlove’s monthly night at Odyssey’s Beach Club on Friday 23rd May.

      The second will take place online on Friday 6th June, with PLANETLOVE WKD unveiling the full line up and arena breakdown of the two day event.

      A limited number of Early Bird weekend tickets went on sale on Saturday 24th May from www.planetlovemusic.com/shop and independent ticket outlets across NI, priced £85 (+booking fee, includes Friday and Saturday admission, and includes free camping and car parking. NB. Early Birds can not be later upgraded to VIP).
