Metallica is an Amercan heavy metal band that formed in 1981.
Metallica's original line-up consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Dave Mustaine, and bassist Ron McGovney. McGovney and Mustaine were later ejected from the band, in favour of Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett, respectively.
The ejection of Mustaine has subsequently resulted in a feud between him and Metallica.

    *This was the 10th time that the band has performed in Dublin and the 12th time they’ve performed in Ireland. The first time they played in the country was on September 14, 1986.

    *This was the first time that Whiskey in the Jar was performed since, well, the last time they were in Dublin . . . on June 11, 2006. It’s become a tradition to dust off that song every time they visit. It was the 25th performance of the song since 1998.

    *This was the first time in 22 years that Ride the Lightning was performed in Ireland. It had been previously been played twice . . . once in Dublin (September 14, 1986) and once in Belfast (September 15, 1986).

    *This was the first time in nine years that The Memory Remains was performed in Dublin. It has only been played in Dublin one other time which was on July 5, 1999.

      actually i have goss that'll probably cheer you up majorly
      we went to dublin over the weekend and niall got pissed out his skull, anyway it took 3 people an hour to drag him up the stairs and when he finally got to the top he flung himself back down singing the Hellman's mayo song :L it was beyond fail

      i NEVER see you :( i'll be in town on friday so you better make an appearance or else i'll pull your whiskers off! (my attempt at a threat)

      things are great with me! i really miss some people though :( ah well
