I realise it's March but now that we're nicely settled into the year I feel it's time to take stock and assess what I really want to do this year, what I really want to see and what I want to see the back of. So here goes:

I decided to update it on May 30th to see how things were going. The updates are in brackets.

Sports:
- Young Munsters to win promotion to Division One with a few good sessions along the way.
[Done and dusted. Now to beat Garryowen....]
- Shaun Payne to collect his second Heineken Cup medal with Munster and retire the legend we all know he is.
[Another success. We're doing well.]
- West Brom to win promotion to the Premiership and finish this cup run in style.
[We're back n the bigtime even if we were robbed in the cup.]
- Limerick's Hurlers to pick up a trophy, any trophy for that matter and Monaghan to win the football.(seriously, they're the only team who'll beat Kerry.)
[I'm pretty miserable about this particular aspect so don't mention the war.Fair play to Tyrone though]
- Me to be in attendance for any and all of the above.
- Liam O'Neill for GAA President and no more strikes.
[Better luck next time Liam.]
- Eddie to do the honourable thing and walk away.
[I should make wishlists more often.]
- Trappatoni to do a decent job with Ireland.
[Well he hasn't been beaten yet and it's November. Hopefully the brickies won't do a number on us.....OK, the Brickies did a number on us.]

Politics
- An end to all this tribunal nonsense. Let's just draw a line under it and get back to running the country.
[They still haven't proven a thing against Bertie and continue to waste taxpayers money. Big disappointment so far.]
- The inevitable final demise of the P.D.s
[Let the good times roll.]
- Richard Bruton to take the reins in Fine Gael so there'll be a viable challenge to Fianna Fàil. A one party system doesn't work.
[Not gonna happen any time soon.]
- Obama Vs. McCain for the Presidency and may the better man win.
[Yes we can, apparently]
- The Queen to visit Ireland so we can finally say we've moved on.

Music
- See any and all of Muse, Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, The Saw Doctors, Hayseed Dixie, Flogging Molly and numerous others.
[Got the Muse ticket and saw the Doctors.Twice. Had to miss Bruce Flogging Molly and Hayseed Dixie though but landed tickets to Coldplay, AC/DC and Oasis.]
- Have a night out free from crap music. [Miracle of miracles. To Doyle's I am graetful.]
- The return of Rock N' Roll to popularity at the expense or RNB and acts like Cascada. [Eh....Let's move on....]

TV
- A series that isn't drawn out and cashing in on when it used to be interesting. Prison Break and Lost take note.
[They upped the performance big time. Well done.]
- The return of Music to MTV and end to the drivel they're churning out now. [Who in God's green glayven is Katy Perry?]
- No more lowest-common-denominator Reality shows.
- A return to when cartoons were good. Yu-Gi-Oh just isn't a patch on the Transformers of my youth. [Screw mainstream TV. Surf the channel.]

College
- Get through the year with respectable grades.[I'm safely ensconsed in second year.]
- Get back into Trinity Hall. [Check.]
- Somebody sort out the College's spiralling debts. [Not so check.]
- A decent Trinity Ball (It'd want to be. It's my birthday.) [Big check.]
- Finally beat U.C.D. at something meaningful. [Irish debates count, right? So does the Colours Match. 20-18. Hell yeah.]
- To continue to be able to walk across Front Square at night. [Check]

And on a personal note:
- Find a decent job and earn some serious cash for next year.
[Got the job. Money pending.Got another job and I'm skint]
- See as many people and places that I rarely get to see during the Summer.
- Get through m
