ok so here it is just for you Li... well not just for you but since you asked for it... it’s been a week since I had baby and Im finally ok to talk about it!!! Hehehe… kidding, it’s just taken me a week to write it cuz I stopped and started so many times and it turned out to be super long, so if you have an hour spare then give it a go, and if not then don’t start cuz you probs wont’ get through it… heheheh  AND like I said in my profile this is a WARNING for all of you... it was a very traumatic experience and I intend to tell it how it is... so for all you budding mothers I make no apology if I put you off, just preparing you… and for all you second timers... Do NOT expect your first pregnancy and labour to fortell what all of your pregnancy and labours are going to be like cuz it's all kaka!!!
aaaaanyways... so as it was with Jaeli, we were off to Auz just in time for my preggy belly to fly, however this time we were going for good, well for good for now, AND jay was coming with us...
sooo yeah we came over to Auz and spent the first couple weeks camping and boating and jetskiing (ooooh ask j bout his kneeboarding experience =)) but I thought that or the shocking HEat wave we experienced would bring baby on early, as well as knowing that jaeli came 2 weeks early I was expecting the same this time but ohhh myyyy gooodness was I wrong!!!
38 weeks came and went... 39... 40... ohhh kill me now... because baby would start up with contractions, just enough to be sore and then all of a sudden nothing!!! It was always bitter sweet because I wanted it to happen but at the same time I remembered the pain and wanted it to go away... sooo a few weeks of this and I was wandering if she was ever going to come... finally one morning (5 days overdue) zaS QA12`1I wake up and the mucous plug had come away but nothing to follow... so I did my research and apparently that can happen and it can still be weeks before you labour... so I still waited... then the following day as we were making dinner I felt some more come.. and well a 'trickling' not a gush like the last time.. so I didn't know if this was my waters… if they had actually broken but perhaps baby was plugging up the hole??? Plus I hadn’t started with any contractions so I carried on with dinner prep, had a shower and then called the maternal health nurse and told her what I had and was experiencing and if this was anything to worry about??? They said to be safe they always ask you to go in and get checked out… so we snuck out of the house leaving jaeli with nanny and grandpa and went down to the hospital… still trickling they put me in a room where we waited for a while… finally a nurse came and put the machine thing on my poku to listen to baby’s heartrate and measure the contractions… which hadn’t started yet… well a few tightenings but nothing really… a doctor eventually came in and ‘checked me out’ and decided yep my membranes had definitely ruptured but I could go up to 72 hours before they would do anything to bring on baby if she didn’t decide to come on her own and because I hadn’t dialated or started contractions they were happy to send me home and have me come back in the morning… at this stage I really was thinking in my head, I know this baby is going to come soon, but not to be a bother was happy to go home and wait for it to be full on… as we left the hospital, it was say 9.30pm and even before walking out the door some pretty heavy contractions hit but I wasn’t sure if they would stop again like all the rest of them had… we were driving away and I said to jay, umm I think maybe we should stay…. But then again not wanting to be a burden we went home… but as soon as we pulled up to the drive way I was like nah we need to go back cuz my contractions were pretty strong ones and not too far apart… so we went inside and I ended up sitting on the toilet for a bit cuz I wanted to empty my bowels first (hahaha li

First off THANX heeeeaaaps for alla the love and well wishes from alla the new auntys and uncles... Sorry I am resorting to the blog to update ya'll... Scroogy I know, but I never realized I had soooo many friends... hahaha... this is just easier and more time efficient... you see you have to be as a MUMMY!!!

Ummm... yeah as mentioned baby was born on Thursday morning... the labour went really well... well I think so... not that I have anything to compare to... cuz well I only been in with Vanz and she has a good game face and made it look easy anyways... but yeah... umm I came over to Auz at the begining of September to have baby with mumsy... as mosta the mothers out there know, you always need yo momma!!! so I come over here and Jay was to follow in a couple weeks, on Friday 6th October as baby was not due until 18 October... Sooo things will moving along slowly... baby was keeping me up all night, and so I resorted to the Discovery Channel on Foxtel and watched every baby story/birth that they had to offer for some prep... and I tell ya they sure did help!!!
Anyways... sooo here I was walking around... going shopping... to she Melbourne show... all over the place thinking that I had a few weeks to go... confused if my feelings of baby coming early were just wishes or actuality... cuz for sures I was ready for baby to be out but wanted to hang out for Jay, so I had planned on baby coming on the Saturday... (I tried Queenie!!!)... as if you can plan these things... but yeah Wednesday morning I woke up super early as per usual becuase I couldn't get comfy, and decided to jump in the bath to ease some of the wieght... and well I started to experience 'stomach cramps' which I had never before and was quite uncomfortable... I didn't think it was bad enough to be anything serious but wasn't sure so I called up the birthing unit, and they had me go in to check me out... and check me out they did!!! not funn!!! but yeah they said nothing to worry bout you got ages to go it's just stomach tightenings... I just wanted to know if I needed to call Jay and tell him to get on the next plane or not, and although I thought I needed to, they told me not to worry, Friday will be fine... sooo I go home and continue to experience these stomach 'tightenings' and even find myself venturing off to watch the kids play netball... I go home after and try to get as comfortable as possible... jump into bed and by 11.30pm I went to get up to go toilet cuz I was getting more uncomfy and next minute... Waterworks!!! mann it's a whole lotta water aye!!! felt like a water balloon had popped inside me!!! but yeah, so I am calling out to my mum... she don't hear me... I wander down to her room and tell her my waters have broken... and her first words... EWWW... and later on... you left a trail!!! come on guys, I'm having a baby!!! but yeah so I call the hospital and Jay and tell him baby is on the way get on a plane now!!! Kara kicks into like superwoman mode and packs up all my bags and cleans up all of my mess... AND defends me to cousin Nicolette who in her half asleep state is telling us to 'shutup' cuz we making too much noise, and Kara tells her, umm bubbigirl's waters have broken... but yeah we get to the hospital just before 1am... and my 'stomach tightenings' were like right on top of each other and I was already 4 cm dialated... AND well as it goes... contractions for a while... I ended up on the floor on my knees at the end of the bed, and yep that's where baby came out... mann SORENESS!!! but I tell ya I was AMAZING!!! I didn't even yell or nothing!!! just alot of OWWWS... and "Kara don't stop, keep rubbing!!!" she was my masseuse!!! Sooo yeah I was 2 hours in the delivery suite.. not bad I think... and the worst of it all for me was the STITCHES!!! the midwife that did them took FOREVER!!! and that's when I was getting impatient and telling her to hurry up cuz it was SORE!!! farr you go through alla that
