      Oh I am going to die for writing this... but fuck it. I'm pissed off.
      Music. Possibly one of the single most beautiful things ever created. Everyone has a soft spot for it. Its a vital part of a lot of peoples lives. But one thing has struck me over the past few years. Musical opinions cause so much hassle. if someone likes a band that another person dislikes then there is uproar. We all feel the need to have our own individual stamp on the music we like. that's fair enough but when it comes to the point of insulting people then its too close to the bone. Music is one big thing yet we feel the need as humans to seperate it into genres. and genres only cause even more hassle. genres form sub culture and sub cultures cause division within society. Divisions form due to clothing choice and simply the stigma attached to the music. I personally feel that one can simply enjoy music and like everything but obviously its hard to stomach some forms of it. its better to dislike and appreciate rather than hate and deny the music any credit. for if people like it then it does something for them. it makes them happy or sad. Music accompanies so many of our memories that when someone attacks the music we love they are attacking a part of us. Its okay to say i don't like that new song "blah blah" by *insert artist* but if the person next to you says "what? I love it!" then that's cool. Co-exist for god's sake! if people want to like the popular bands, let them! if people want to be obscure, let them. if people want to enjoy everything, let them! even if they want to subscribe to the craze, jesus we're only young once so let them! Look I am by no means a saint on this topic for I have been a follower of metal music for quite some time. I wore blinkers and closed out so many forms of music. Now I can say my taste is eclectic and diverse. Its better to love and appreciate as much as you can because music is awesome and its what makes so much of this life worthwhile. This is basically a cathartic blog as I need to purge these annoyances before I punch someone. Don't bully a person for their choice of music and don't think you are the shit because you like the more alternative stuff. Overplayed and overdone can still make people happy. shouting and screaming about all sorts of fucked up shit can help release anger, thumping bass and drums can make you want to pop and lock like there's no tomorrow so why not enjoy it all! Appreciate the music! Live it and Love it!

    • Hypocrisy Sells....Irelands Buying

      Life as a teen is very hard! We are constantly judged and viewed as the troublemakers in society because a minority acts in immature ways. As a result we all suffer the consequences and we all have to deal with the looks of shame and disapproval that are shot at us everytime we just want to “hang out” in whatever place whether it be peace park or Paul St.

      I try my best not to judge but I’m only human and I sometimes make judgements without thinking. But we, those that hang out in the aforementioned places undergo massive amounts of judging and have to deal with a lot of prejudiced hell from those who think we are inferior because we are young and dress in black. Its become so stupid its beyond the bounds of comprehension! Now a young guy or girl cant kiss their boyfriend or girlfriend without being told that they are blocking the way in the Paul St shopping centre. Friends who haven’t seen each other in ages are forced to move whilst they hug and exchange hellos when right next to them stands a group of adults discussing the weather or my favourite, talking to the security guards who just previously moved on a group of teens for obstruction. They can talk to whoever they want and block all the buggies they wants once the unwanted teens, the eyesores are gone! adults can stand and talk but we have to move. The hypocrisy makes me sick!

      Even if we stand to the side we are forced to move outside into the cold or wet and most of the time both. This is Ireland and this is what Ireland has become. A state filled with cranky adults sick of the sight of youths living life to its fullest. I am a mature young lad and troublemaking is not a hobby of mine yet I a branded the same as those who steal cars, rob shops and attack homeless people! The good people become just a statistic in this hypocrisy filled state that promotes equality and its freedom yet youths are treated as outcasts and the prejudice we have to deal with is so large that its no wonder suicide rates are so high amongst teens. So much pressure is put on us, from exams to the pressure of conformity in society and the pressure to look like the perfect person! Ireland has lost the plot we are now as false a nation as the U.S.
