About Me

Me, Myself, and I
If I had a perfect day
I would have it start this way
Open up the fridge and have a tall boy!
Then I’d meet up with my friends
Head out to the game again
We don’t even really even care who wins!

And before the day was through
We could torch a car or two
Then have ourselves another tallboy yeah
Water hoses in the lot
That’s the real game that’s on
I don’t really give a shit who wins!

I believe it’s my god-given right
To destroy everything in my sight
It never gets dull, it never gets old
The only it gets is more bold
Drinkin’, fightin’, goin’ to the game
In our world it’s a way to stay sane
If you’re askin’ me, to have it my way
I’d say that’s one fine day!

  • Road to the old Pie in the Sky

So I went out for my first long distance ride with the bike club today. What a load of fun. I was afraid I might've missed out on it this morning, when I showed up at the West Gosford McDonalds, and a random guy said that the group left 5 minutes ago. Being a bit of a stranger to the area, I had no clue where to go, since many of the roads are still closed because of the floods a few weeks ago, so I pretty much just followed my gut, sure enough, after about 20 minutes of riding, and losing hope, I caught the group.

I held onto their tail and we rode all along the Old Pacific Highway to the Road Warrior's Cafe down in Mt. White where we stopped for coffee, most of the guys were too busy freezing their asses off to talk. I've never seen that many bikes in one place in my entire life, there must've been at least 80 bikers and their bikes. After brief introductions with the group (there were about 15 of us) and finishing our coffees, we continued along the old highway all the way to Cowan trainstation where the guys had a smoke break.

After we took off from Cowan, I took the bike to 80kmh when it hit me, I don't remember putting my bike-stand up. Luckily I didn't travel too far before taking action , I did feel like a bit of an idiot though. Anyway, we only rode for a few minutes before we got to the Pie in the Sky, where we stopped for, you guessed it, Pies and coffee (which, might I add was pretty good). Was quite fun, had a much-needed bathroom break, chatted about bikes, had more coffee and then we were off again.

The return trip was quite uneventful, we caught some cops going the other way, probably chasing bikers. As we got closer to home, the group pretty much split up and everyone went their own way. Arrived at home with a sore thumb, a sore ass, 180kms on the clock and about 3 hours riding-time under the belt.

All in all I must say I had quite a bit of fun, and I reckon its a good way to get acquainted with your bike. Looking forward to the next one.
