- Beginning in 1989 as Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids the bands theatrical stage performances have made it into one on the most controversial bands on the 1990's. This is mainly due to the bands lead singer Marilyn Manson (Marilyn-Monroe and Manson-Charles Manson). The bands names are created by a pop icon and the second by a serial killer. Marilyn Manson, Madonna Wayne Gacy, Tim Skold, Ginger Fish. There song lyrics receive great criticism because of there satanic and anti-religious comments. Protests and petitions have frequently caused banned shows.
