We're a five piece band with numerous influences from 50s rockability through to modern rock. Our aim is not to be centred around one sound like many of todays bands, constantly pushing the boundaries of music composing new and exciting sounds creating songs that span all genres to suit every mood and occasion.

B.O.T.B - Lurgan.
Well, well, the parrots are constantly on the go these days, with gigs galore and no time to stop and blog. One minute we're playing in Antrim, the next Turf Lodge! Don't get me wrong though, I love being in a band, it takes you to many strange and exotic locations.
Take our last gig as an example, if you will. It was the first round of a battle of the bands in Courthouse bar, Lurgan. (I know, I know, not the most exotic of location, leaning towards the 'strange' end of the spectrum in fact). I personally thought we'd be up against it, 5 lads from Belfast, no entourage, no sound check, two members of the band suffering from chest infections and no sat nav....!!!!!!
But we made it, we rocked the f'ing show!! It was quite defiinately our finest performance, every one was at the top of their game (pity I can't say the same about Liverpool these days) Sadly, we didn't win out right, but we were runners up (not bad considering we had no mates at all in the crowd to vote for us) and we're not out of it yet. We have one more crack at getting a spot in the final, which means, WE NEED YOU!!!!!!!
Yes that right, just like the old WWI recruitment posters, your parrots need you. So get your collective asses in the masses down to Lurgan next week and vote for us. *Cough* I mean come down and enjoy the competition and vote fairly on who you thought were the best band of the night............

The New Tracks have arrived
Wellity wellity wellity! It's been a fair old time since we've updated the site so why don't we take a moment to review what has happened in our absence.
The sighting of Michael Jackson's ghost at Neverland Ranch. Did you see the footage on youtube? SHocking I'll agree but I hate it when people jump to conclusions regarding such footage. A blurry shadow at the end of a hall?...it's obviously a ghost, but who is to say it's his? Eh?
The release of Transformers 2: I think I mentioned this in the last blog but I like to get a dig in to this complete travesty of a film every single opportunity that I can. Why just last week my mother and I were discussing the Rwandan genocide when I managed to squeeze in "yeah that was really horrible. Know what else is really horrible?" I swear that when I come to power (and God willing I will do) anyone that likes the Transformers film franchise will be beaten with cordless phones. As will the following: People who fart for comic effect, people who think The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a true story and all Scorpios...dunno why I said that I think I'm just drunk with power.
The Dead Parrots record an E.P.: Yes yes yes. The Parrots broke the surly bonds of Belfast and punched the face of God when they travelled to the abyss of Maghera to record their upcoming E.P. The tracks are now available for your auditory pleasures so please enjoy. The release of the cd will be announced shortly but until then we do have an alternative option...you can f**k off!
