    • I went home for the sole reason of going on my sister's hen WEEKEND!

      Yes that's right, a full weekend. Not that that's unusual, just significant in this story.

      Last Sunday night (not yesterday mind, last Sunday) I went out for Mary from work's birthday dinner/leaving do. We drank a fair whack, and that was alright, except I decided to mix white and red wine, so woke up feeling like total crap, fabulous! I spent the day doing bugger all, and that was fine.

      Except it wasn't really. I woke up late on Tuesday, and remembered that I had some stuff that I had to pick up in town, that I'd clean forgot about when I was very hungover on Monday. So I headed off into town in a rush to pick the stuff up that I needed before bringing it all home and packing.

      Then I managed to pack better than a blue arsed fly, and more organised too! So I sat down onto my computer to fill in a few forms that I really wanted to get done before the 1st June. Stupid move. Really feckin arse for brains move that one was.

      Filled in the forms, and jumped up, in a rush (because I'd had a phone call from mummy asking had I checked in alright, even though I'd looooads of time) and headed out the door to catch my plane home.

      I realised when I got to the airport I'd forgot my passport.

      Except, well, I hadn't really forgotten it, I'd just... forgotten to check that I had it. Because it was packed already you see. I just had to take it out to fill in one of those forms. I never put it back in my bag.

      No big deal, phoned Christine, she told me it was there, and I hadn't left it in the taxi. I got on the plane with my drivers license and it was going to be posted by the Royal Mail on guaranteed next day delivery service. Sorted.

      I got home and Nuala was going apeshit. She was soo not at all impressed that I'd been so stupid. (Except, remember, I hadn't really...) So she was all telling me to go down to Dublin and get a new passport (I've got an Irish one see, so I'd have to go down there, get a fast one, I've never had a British passport) last Wednesday. Then on Wednesday morning, we were up at the screak of dawn, (well, not really, but close enough!) to do nothing, because we couldn't, until I got hold of Christine, and then she told me that it was posted, and it would definitely be home for 1 o clock, never mind that we needed to leave at 12 to catch the flight in plenty of time, but whatever.

      So Nuls went on to work anyway, and I sat at home and farted about the place, doing bugger all.

      Then we checked Royal Mail's website on the stone age computer complete with archaic internet with the reference number and it said "we have received your package and it should be with you by the estimated delivery time on the 29th May" Great, sorted, it's in Belfast.

      Except it wasn't, what they meant by package being received, was that, I don't know, it was scanned at the post office??

      Thursday morning, getting ready to head off for a long weekend in Ibiza, with a weather forecast saying rain on Saturday (it was right) and sun the rest of the time ( we were leaving early sunday morning) and Nuala phones Royal mail. (It's getting past 10 o clock, and we're getting a wee bit panicky, because the normal post comes before then, so where was my passport???) They told her that that particular package was still in Scotland. No more explanation.

      What?!?!?!?!

      So I phoned later, they said the plane hadn't taken off, "bad weather" (if there was bad weather, then I've got double D's!!!)

      I managed to find out that it was finally on it's way, and I'd get it by 1pm on Friday. It's a pity that the next flight wasn't until 12.15 on Saturday, and I didn't get intil Ibiza til 4...

      So on Friday, after it turned up, I phoned to complain (they told me that I could only complain about an item being mis-delivered after it had turned up, or if it was more than 15 days late) and was told they'd very kindly refund.... the cost of postage a whole four pounds shitty-something! I asked that if extra insurance had been

      Dad: Oh right, ok, but what if we do a co-ordinated dance routine an..
      Nuala: Yeah, if you do one, to persuade the boys what you want, and maybe! they can do one too! And it can be a dance-off, and you have to compete against each other, you get 10 minutes practice time and Emma and me will be the judges, and we’ll each coach a team, and…
      Me: I get the boys!
      Eoin: Great! Emma’s good, come-on Tom, we’re going to win!
      Nuala: Oh yeah, and you have to sing in tune!
      Eoin: here Tom, we’ve won!

      heeellloooo! lol i am still alive but only just. Im on some gay course this week that is from 9 til 5( he let us out early 2day woo!)
