Esme Cullen is NOT played by Lauren Graham. Lauren Graham is too good for Twilight.

  • 25 things about me (it's a facebook thing)

Do it. It's actually surprising how easy it is to think of things about yourself, and when you do you realise things about your character that you hadn't really thought of before. And it's kind of lovely to find out stuff about other people.

    1. Kilve is my favourite place in the whole world. I have been there 34 times so far, and there are 5 more courses coming up in the next few months - I WILL get to 40! I have met so many amazing people at Kilve, including most of my best friends. Most of the best times of my life have been spent there and I intend to spend the rest of my life involved in Kilve in some way. I cannot imagine life without it.

    2. I hate change, except in myself. I hate it when my friends change because then they are no longer the person I befriended in the beginning. I have a teddy-bears' picnic on the wall of my room, winnie-the-pooh curtains and duvet case and a clown-on-a-swing lampshade, all of which I have had since I was a baby, but I just can't redecorate, I would miss them so badly. I can hardly bring myself to delete songs from my iPod when it's full up because I am so familiar with the order.

    3. No one can be sure of the natural colour of my hair. I made the mistake of highlighting it myself when I was in year 7, and it hasn't been the same since. The have lost count of the number of times I have dyed it pink and then had to redye it for school...

    4. I cry a lot, but I am not a sad person. Sad things do affect me perhaps more than others, but I also cry when I am happy, when I hear something beautiful (such as a piece of music or really good poetry) and when people are just NICE. Not even to me necessarily, just when people do something thoughtful or selfless it restores my faith in humanity and that overwhelms me.

    5. I bitch and gossip a lot, but I am not proud of it. My bitching partner is Jo Matthews, we don't see so much of each other anymore but when we do, we just can't stop. It feels wonderful to get those thoughts out of my system in a way that no one else hears, so no one gets hurt.

    6. I watch horror films but I don't know why. I hate them and they come back to haunt me for months afterwards.

    7. Music is phenomenally important to me. I feel sorry for, but can't understand, people who choose to have nothing to do with it. I am unashamed to say that folk is my favourite type of music, and I think more people should give it a chance because I think they would be surprised at how good it is, especially in comparison to the vast expanses of synthetic and talentless music we have today. When I don't play the piano for more than a day, especially if there is one nearby waiting to be played, I get massive withdrawal symptoms and cravings, and I start to feel physically sick.

    8. I know it's something everyone seems to say, but I can't stand the idea of conforming to a specific social group. I don't see that wearing eyeliner or colourful things make me "scene" because I was doing that before scene was popular, and before I knew what it was. I don't appreciate people making assumptions about me based on how I look or what I wear.

    9. I think I am a naturally assertive person. If someone is being hurtful about me or someone I know, I have no problem with taking it up with someone and letting them know what I think.

    10. I really really REALLY like to argue. I don't deliberately start arguments, but if I can feel one near I won't steer away from it. I am not weak in my opinions and I will not give in if I think someone is wrong.

    11. I have kissed more people in the last 6 months than in the rest of my life. But I'm not a slut.

    12. I frequently cannot be arsed with things. My room is a tip but I know if I tidy it I will either lose interest part way through, or it will become messy again too soon after for it to be worthwhile. From September til November I kept a journal which I wrote in every day, but now I just can't be bothered to fill it in in that detail, and I nev

  • Music :D

I'm having a bit of a massive music nostalgia attack. I've suddenly remembered these songs that I haven't heard in years and it's just so strange. It makes me happy to hear them again, and at the same time sad because those memories seem so far in the past.

The songs I have remembered and heard and been stunned by so far are:

    Fairport Convention

    Open the Door Richard
    London River
    Tam Lin - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nN1AOa...
    Matty Groves
    The Deserter - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RKsIFf...

    Lindisfarne

    Lady Eleanor
    Turn Again

    Dougie MacLean

    Feel So Near - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3y8VCk...
    Caledonia
This Love Will Carry - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lzMn6e...

    Deep Purple

    Black Night
Strange Kind of Woman - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dCI8sy...

    Steeleye Span

    Blackleg Miner

    Alan Parsons Project

    Ammonia Avenue

    Simon and Garfunkel

    El Condor Pasa

    ______________________________

I don't know if anyone will, but if you're open to it then I really advise you to listen to any of these songs, in particular, the underlined ones. I love them.

Also, you might be surprised how fulfilling it is to search up old bands from your past and listen to the songs you heard and liked and forgot about. Seriously, it's incredible.
