I trained as a Medical Student at the Royal Hope Hospital in London, whilst there I met a patient named John Smith, who revealed himself to be a Time Lord called the Doctor when the Hospital was transported to the Moon by the Judoon. He took me on a journey through time and space in his TARDIS, there I saw many amazing creatures and met amazing people, after defeating the Master (Harold Saxon), I decided to stay at home, the Doctor got me working with UNIT and I contacted the Doctor during the ATMOS incident. I also helped the Doctor when the Earth was taken along with 26 other planets. I also spent some time in Cardiff working with Jack in Torchwood.
