once upon a time
there was a little duck
but this was not just any duck
this was a very special duck
one day, when he was strolling down the riverside
he encountered a little mouse
but it was not a happy little mouse
he was a sad little mouse
the duck asked him, "why are you so sad little mouse?"
the mouse looked up the duck, and as a single ickle mouse tear rolled down his little mouse cheek , he replied
"In all the rain, the river flooded, and my little mouse friend got taken away in the river!"

the little mouses legs were far too little to swim down river on his own, and he was so happy he gave the duck his last, smelliest, yummiest peice of cheese!
the duck was not a fan of cheese
but the little mouses face was so small and so cute and so happy, he took the cheese
and he thanked the mouse very much for it.
and so, the mouse and the duck began to swim down the river
all of a sudden, the mouse squeaked very loudly from the ducks back
"whats that in the clearing over there?!" he yelled. "it looks like mrs. mouse!"
so the duck swam over as fast as he could, which is very fast indeed
but what they found was not mrss mouse at all at all
it was a big fat ugly cat!

it hissed and jumped all around, tossing this way and that!
then he pounced at mr. mouse!
duck was so afraid that he flew straight up in the air
but he wasnt looking where he was going, and flew straight into a tree
so he came crashing down again!!
straight on the head of the cat!
the cat did not like that at all, and ran away with his tail in the air
"phew!" said mr. mouse
"That was a close shave!" said mr. mouse
they didnt want to stay near the cat, so they set off again down the river
and it was just then that mr. mouse and mr. duck saw something coming around the corner of the river
what was it?
it was hard to see it with all the bushes...
was it...

it couldnt be...
it was!
it was mrs. mouse, sitting on the most beaaauuuutiful swan mr. duck had ever seen!
mr. mouse shouted to mrs. mouse
"Mrs mouse! Oh im so happy to see you again! I was so afraid when you got swept down the river!"
mr. mouse was smiling more than he ever thought he could!
mrs. mouse was soooo happy she gave mr. mouse a big hug
the swan looked over at mr. duck...
"Would you like to have some tea with me, mr. duck?"
mr. duck looked a little shy, and began to blush
But he managed to say "i-i-i... I'd l-l-love to!"
so away they went, and they all lived happily ever after!
