In The Studio - Again (part two)
As you know, we are currently recording a rough demo one of our new songs, "You're Killing Me Smalls"
So, Conor met Lucas and I in the sudio last week, and we set up the drums while the Wayne and the guys set up the mics. I had one more guitar part to go over so I go that done while Conor was fuckin' with floor tom legs or something. On to the drums, And Conor nails it and we head straight into vocals. The guys are on a tight schedule, so it's straight into vocals. I do two takes, one of the verses, one of the choruses and we're done. we didn't really have time for backing vocals but sure it's only a demo.

In The Studio - Again
Hey guys, We are currently in the studio again... This time, helping out a good friend of ours, Wayne from the band 40ft Woman. As part of a college project he has to record and mix a full band track. So, we are using this as an opportunity to do a rough demo one of our new songs, "You're Killing Me Smalls"
So far, Bass and Guitar are done... So Drums and Vocals left. Who knows, we may have another Owen Lewis on our hands...

Recording The EP
Recording with Owen Lewis was a blast!! Such a nice guy, and great to work with.
Day 1:
11 O' clock starts, after nights out, are never fuckin' good! Hangovers, Aftershock stained shoes and worst of all... We're recording fuckin' drums! So once Conor gets there himself and Owen start setting up and so the banging begins. Luckily we've got laptop chess and coffee to keep us occupied through this tedious endeavor. But luckily enough, With a little help from 'The Fewer The Better' drummer Brendan Miller (Thanks For The Bass Drum) And 'The Demise' Drummer Kieran Hayes (Thanks For The Transport) we finally get the recording underway. I start layin down my guides to the metronome and Conor gets to work. Mike and Fabian from 'The Demise' call over to the studio to see how were getting on. A Long day of recording eventually leads to food... Off to KFC we go. Conor eventually finshes drumming, packing up and sorting out transport (Cheers Ken) and it's off to bed after a 10 hour day.
Day 2:
Back to the studio we go. Today, Bass And Guitar. Today however, our venue has changed and we have GRAND THEFT AUTO IV to keep us occupied while we break the peaceful silence of this Ballina cul de sac. Lucas Gets to work, And just rips into it. But while he's doing that, it's off to Londis for some hot chicken rolls! FACT! We come back and there's only one more song to do. Once thats over, I get to work on the rhythm guitar tracks. Done, in what seems like relatively no time at all and although we're in the zone and want to keep it goin', the fact it's a cul de sac means we cant be too loud after a certain time so it's back home for well earned rest.
Day 3:
I just head to the studio on my own today... lead guitar! I tune up, plug in and hit straight into it, picking up where we left off the night before. Kiernan Mc Mullan pops over to Owen as they're recording later on and gets a listen to what's goin' on, Kieran Hayes calls over as well just as I'm just finishin' up the last song... Feedback seems to be all good And Hayes and I get on our way. Another day done!!
Day 4:
Vocals and Acoustic Guitar today! We set up the room with the xBox in it for recording the guitar (Much to the dismay of Lucas and Conor) and we hit into the 'Winning...' acoustic track. A few takes and I'm done... Finally Lucas and Conor start playin xBox and I start to scream my little black lungs out. Gettin' all the main tracks is the only thing we're doin' today and I'm kinda glad. I do roughly 4 takes of every song, and try out one or two things with layering, but gladly Lucas takes the mic for a while, and I am free to troll the streets of Liberty City, Cappin' any Motherfucker that gets in my way... And before we know it, it's off home for some tea and a rake of Venos Honey and Lemon. SHOM!
Day 5:
Doin' the old harmonies today. Couple of experiments tried out with where to put them but it all seems to work out Grand. It took a lot longer than I expected as well, because while listenin' to the vocal track for 'Winning...' we all agree that the original way I've sang it doesn't quite sounds right. It sounds too strained. So we redo the vocal track differently, softer if you like, and it completely changes the tone of the song. And the harmonies seemed to come more naturally this way as well. So after all that hubbub we get our rough, unmixed copy to take home and listen to. We get one or two more ideas.
Day 6:
Ideas have been put out there, some rejected, some accepted and all in all we're happy with the changes we've made. And we're on to mixing. Owen has done some mixing in the mean time so there's not much else to be done, except a little bit of tweaking here, little bit of tweaking there and again we take another rough cd home!
Day 7:
Last Day! It's been a crazy seven days, but we have our final mixes! Money exchanges hands, Tears are shed, Hugs are given but that's business for ya!
Thanks For Readin'

ps. can't wait to hear your ep.
Well, I quite like your music. I actually forgot I was a fan, and then went through all my bands and refound you guys... quite a good thing
When are you coming to Aus? lol.
Oh! lol that is such a good plan Im stealing it!
How about you continue to turn Blink182 fan pages into band pages, and get on with your sad little lives? Keith booked you, and forgot. I didn't particularly want you playing anyway, I think your music is bland and uninteresting. Enjoy
lion heart can go suck my balls
Heya! That was cancelled, sorry guys.
