Right so today was the first day of my new job (for those few who dont know i am working in an old peoples home)! the day got off to ao bad start...i got shampoo in my eye and it went all red and blood shot! not good for a 1st impression. my mum was then hurrying me out the door at 8.40...we live 5 mins from this stupid place! me- "mother we are gunna be stupidly early" mother- " nooo we are gunna be late, there is always lots of traffic at this time through midhurst" ya you guessed it we got there at like 8.50! so i went in and got shown around, its a nice place...except for the stench of old people!!
They hadnt given me a uniform so i was wearin jeans, converse and a t-shirt. so of course by 10am I am fecking BOILING! at 11 i had to help with the activity, which was making fish out of salt dough. i know what your thinking..you did that when you were a kid! i felt so sorry for these old people! except for 2 of them. they were pure evil! ok i have never made coffe in my life (thats only casue i dnt drink it) so i was shocked when i was asked to make 2 cups of coffe! what the fuk was i gunna do?! so after ALOT of brain work on my part! lol i did it! i gave them to the 2 evil ladies who were watching me. now one of them just sat there and stared at me and drank it, the OTHER one said that the cup was too heavy, even though she has like the same amount of coffe in the same cup every bloody day. so there was me going to myself (and biting my tounge to try and stop my self from yelling at her) umm excuse me have you got a problem with your coffe?! and just general yelling at her. Ok so now we start with the makin of the bloody fish. and as most of you will also know that i CAN NOT cook anything! i swear (ask clare if you dont believe me!) so there i was struggling to make this stupid dough! several mins later i finally had this dough! ok so its all going good for me now! i've made the dough and the shape...now for the clearing up! i am kinda nervous around people i dnt know, and if they are older than me i tend to go real quiet and just ask lots of questions or stand around lookin like a fool...SO this evil lady goes (when it is all quiet) "shes not much good is she?" I am now feeling like shite and want to cry!
Lunch... i had to watch 2 really old ppl get spoon fed.. i swear i nearly puked! then i had a jolly disgusting lunch of cheese and tomatoe sarnies! i hate tomatoes! and i felt really bad if i left them so i ate them, and felt ill for the rest of the day!
After lunch they thought it would be fun for me to go and do a crossword puzzle with this old layd (who speaks french)- my worst night mare! so Chris introduced me to this old lady and said that i also speak french! so she starts talking to me in french!! FUUUUUUUK !! i didnt understand a word she said!! so i finally got her to speak english to me! On to the cross word (which btw i also suck at) so here i was repeatin the bloody clue 5 times before she said she didnt know !! argh! it was soooooo frustrating! but finally the day came to an end!
the walk home. so i am still wearin the jeans, converse and t-shirt and pretty much melting. There is a heat wave going on you see. And i had to walk home in the heat from one end of midhurst to easebourne.......now it takes 5 mins by car, by about 20 mins waking. and ya its not so bad in the heat when you are wearin a loss less clothes than i was! so by the time i got home i was pretty much melting and hating my job ON THE FIRST DAY! i dnt know how i am going to cope with 7 more weeks of this torture!! ARGH! so i am basically gettin paid a fiver an hour to have abuse yelled at me, be bored sensless, and watch old people!! WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!?!?!?!
