      This coming Friday, June 12th will see the official launch party for Pods brand new Friday night - Hype Summer Soundsystem, with 5 rooms of music on offer from a selection of Dublins best DJs and promoters. HSS kick starts proceedings with an outdoor summer vibe and pre-party that will include a BBQ [with free burgers for the first 100], an icecream van, serving delicious cold treats, beer promotions and DJs in the courtyard from 8pm. Its the perfect after work party / pre-party and will provide a comfortable cool setting to kick off your weekend in style!

      Fridays launch party, from 8pm in the courtyard, will begin with a mix of of residents from across the various rooms, playing 'back to mine' / Cafe Mambo style sets. As a special HSS feature expect early evening DJ performances from guests throughout the summer with many alternative sets from top names...Then as darkness falls we move inside, where this weeks late line-up includes; 515 in Pod, with bigroom madness from The Japanese Popstars - Live, Rubberband with Al Keegan playing a 'Jesus Loves The Acii' set [support from Giles K and resident Jonathan Woods] in Crawdaddy and Subject, who bring their weekly soul, funk, disco, deephouse party to the Lobby Bar. Also on the line-up are yet to be announced special guests in Tripod Club [Attik] and Bar. Keep an eye on Pod.ie for updates.

      And the good news is, the weatherman has told us that Friday is gonna be another scorcher! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!

      HYPE SUMMER SOUNDSYSTEM:
      Presented by Pod, 515, Subject and Rubberband HYPE takes on the format of a mini-festival for the summer months with an Access All Areas 5 room event every Friday at Pod Complex. HYPE SUMMER SOUNDSYSTEM will feature 515, Subject and Rubberband rotating in Pod, Lobby Bar and Crawdaddy and some of Dublins best independent promoters residing in Tripod Club [Attik] and Tripod Bar, not to mention a spacious outdoor courtyard which will include an ice cream van, burger bar & BBQ, great drink promos [Beers and Cocktails] and pre-club DJs every Friday from 8pm.

      Music wise there will be something for everyone with 515's big room House / Techno / Electro sound meeting Subjects, Deep House / Disco [and sometimes Techno] vibe meeting Rubberbands upfront House and Techno party meeting Indie, Dance Mash-ups, Hip Hop, Drum 'n Bass, Dubstep, 80's / 90's Retro, Reggae, Old Skool, Live Bands etc. etc. And to keep things interesting there'll be Fancy Dress theme nights, Fashion Shows, Art Exhibitions, New DJ Competitions and more, all adding to the mini-festival melting pot and spreading the summer vibes!

      Already lined up for the summer months and playing alongside the best in local DJ / music talent are international acts - Josh Gabriel, Juan Atkins, Hercules & Love Affair & Phil Kieran with more to be confirmed...

    • RUBBERBAND - FRIDAY MAY 22ND CRAWDADDY... Guestlist & Mix available!

      After an already jam packed start to the summer that has seen the Rubberband DJs play at numerous dates around the country as well as various festival dates the night will continue in May with even more club and festival action. Friday May 22nd Rubberband will return to Crawdaddy and host the first of many intimate parties taking place over the summer. This will be the first of many Rubberband parties to come in the Pod complex as the night will team up this summer with Subject , 515 and various others to present Friday night Hype launching Friday June6th. Kick starting proceedings and testing the water May 22nd will see DJs Aaron Nolan, Jonathan Woods and Al Keegan take over for a warm up of things to come. Expect all the usual dancefloor treats with anything from house to tech house and techno and a buzzing club atmosphere to boot!
