The Future of ADV UK and this Blogger
Some of you may be aware that ADV has undergone restructuring over the last few months and we have all been very busy trying to secure the future of anime in the UK. I am not going to be making any more reviews or articles at least in the near future, I am hoping that I will be able to take up my reviews again and will post here as soon as I do, so keep an eye out! I will leave a quote from Lace Digital Media who have taken over as distributors of ADV licenses in the UK and Germany:
Lace Digital Media Sales to distribute ADV Films
Lace Digital Media Sales have partnered with ADV films to distribute all their UK and German titles. LDMS has been a sales and distribution customer for ADV for five years. All film releases are already scheduled in the Lace Digital catalogue ready for next month.
Sales Director Andy Lyon said:
"ADV has been an incredibly successful brand in UK DVD market and LDMS longest standing Sales & Distribution customer. We are incredibly proud and pleased to have been selected to manage ADV's business in UK and Germany which is testament to the hard work and success of our sales force over the past 5 years. We look forward to a very long and exciting partnership."
ADV is the leading producer and distributor of anime outside Japan with the largest English-language anime library in the world. ADV aims to strengthen its business in Europe, and the partnership with LDMS is sure to generate even greater market share, revenue and success in the market.
"Anime is a red hot international pop culture phenomenon, but the home video market for anime in Europe is dreadfully underserved," said ADV Films president John Ledford. "There's enormous potential there, and that's why we're so excited about the partnership with Lace."0 Comments 622 days

Kurau - 1 & 2
I was really impressed with this series. From the box it looked like a very standard, Noir-like anime, and in some respects it is, but this show also has much more feel to it. Where Noir was quite cold and the characters hard to relate to, this story opens with a father loosing his daughter to the strange reenax and as it progresses you discover a world that is futuristic, action packed, but not so far removed from our own.
This is a must see anime, I can't wait for the next volume.0 Comments 712 days

Cool!
I really hope you don't mind me saying this, but I'm sure alot of anime fans think it... why do some companies put four episodes on a DVD, then flog it for £20+?
It's not really good value for money.. =/ -
