Darkness engulfs the land,
There’s no one there to hold your hand,

By desolation and bewilderment,
As you contemplate the moments of life,
That’s cruelty feels immeasurable.

Insecurity and vulnerability fill your veins,
Step back and remember why life is worth living.
Live for the nights spent in the arms of the one you love,
The times you feel as though there’s no one but you in the room,
As they gaze deeply into your eyes,
Filling you with pure happiness.
Remember the times spent with true friends,
Laughing harder than you have in the longest time,
Although there’s no explainable reason,
Laughter between two people,
Understood by no one else.
Remember the nights when you danced like an idiot,
Truly not caring who’s watching,
Or what anyone else thinks.
Always keep in mind life can’t be fulfilled,
If your mind is consumed with regret.
Live for the moments that count,
Live for the moments that fulfil
Live to find the moments that make life amazing,
Live to love and be loved.
