ok...so we finaly left our beloved hotel vikram yesterday wich was quite sad because we had realy goten settled there and all the staff knew us and we just got realy wel acquainted with the local area but its time for phase 2....arived at the host family at midday and i was already shattered...the house is fairly standard and kind of what i expected...not as wel equiped in terms of gyms, pools, chefs etc) as the others bt the familys realyyyy nice...theyre all so friendly and i've pretty much met most of their extended family...they do like to show their welcoming nature and friendliness through food which may not bode well with our foreign tummies...

im quite glad 2 b here despite being realy nervous and aprehensive beforehand...just feeling abit alonee having spent the last 2 weeks with the other pmgf guys...nevertheless, coming 2 the skwl has been quite good...met up with my partner kim and had a gd old chat about our host families and the families r prety much the same...one of the harder bits of this exchange bit is the fact that the family dont realy speak english but they understand me and im starting to understand wen they speak hindi...theyre determined 2 make me fluent within 14days....gd luck with that!!

the skwls also been quite good...went 2 a maths lesson this morning wich completely baffled me...its bin a couple of yrs since AS maths bt english ws realy gd...its 1 of the more interactive classes wich is quite a turnaround 4 indian skwls where theyre jus taught at rather than the participation and randomness of english classrooms...theyre all quite eager 2 have us in their classes wich is alwys good bt then came the time 2 work on our research projects...we were given a small air-conditioned room (almost like a comfortable prison cell) and we began 2 procrastinate...as we r doing now...bak 2 work 4 nw xxxx

day 13 in india and this is the 1st time im actualy writing nething but thats mainly because we have been soooo busy and our days r just jam-packed....wt 2 say...we've dun alottt of sightseeing in delhi n luckily we did it wile te weather ws prety gd bt the monsoon season isnt leaving without us aprntly....heavy showers starting 2moro nt that i mind...im quite looking 4wrd 2 experiencing it...we had a little taster 4 the 1st time wen we went 2 see the taj bt that ws momentarily...speaking of the taj, that ws a prety gd day out (very long aswl)...massiv foto opp so i shal b uploading them all soon 4 ur viewing pleasure :p

we've goten prety settled in...its hard 2 think that we were all prety much strangers 2 weeks ago...its been prety gd meeting every1 n jus exploring delhi 2gther...we went 2 see a bollywood fim with no subs n actualy understand it n realy enjoyed it!!

ooo also met the host family yday hu we will be staying with for 2weeks starting on sunday wich sounds like a long time bt they seeemed quite kool n the girl ws defo on my wavelength so im nt sensing any probs jus yet (altho i wil let u knw)...jus kinda bin embracing everything n bin realy willing 2 try diff things wich alwys makes everything more interesting...we did giv in yday n decide 2 go 2 mcdonalds...bt sumtimes u jus need a break 4rm the paneer!
