- Tutto su di me
- I can speak a small bit of French (as in pre-natal native French), I like writing about things while sitting in parks and cafes, I drink far too much to know what is good for me and I have somehow become a performance poet over the past few years since university. I also have a 'proper' job in new media, where I look after advertising on websites everyday and look bemused at invoices, sometimes having to shout down the phone when it doesn't look like an invoice. But I am nice. I am a little too interested in football, like in nerdy knowing how many blades of grass are on a football pitch type thing, but don't hold it against me. I have a website and a blog in which I ramble out thoughts www.wrinkledrug.com (don't ask where I got the name...) I love watching films, mainly whatever makes me have to think for a while. Personal favourites include About Schimdt, Manhatten, Straight Story, Crash (the one with the oscar), Life is Beautiful, Il Postino, Downfall....so quite
- Music
- I recently discovered Tom Baxter and along with Josh Ritter, Martin Finke, Sarah Harmer he is up there with those who make it onto my ipod. Putting Anthony and the Johnsons and Rufuus Wainwright into Pandora.com has unearthed some proper gems......
- Films
- mainly whatever makes me have to think for a while. Personal favourites include About Schimdt, Manhatten, Straight Story, Crash (the one with the oscar), Life is Beautiful, Il Postino, Downfall....so quite a mix and match...ohh and anything with Bill Murray in it at the moment, loved Lost in Translation and The life aquatic
- Sports
- Jumping around while drunk, talking foolish, writing in note books, walking in the sunshine, playing football, running, reading in parks, buying stuff when I have the money and travelling on my own (you get to meet so many people).
- Books
- Trainspotting and anything by Irvine Welsh, Charles Bukowski (post office), Richard Brautigan. Hunter S Thompson (especially the rum diaries) and Kerouac.....I also read as much of Nick Hornby and tony parsons as possible. I like to trawl bookshops here and find some gems....Dave Eggers is great.....I loved Heart breaking work of a staggering genius. Best book read recently was by John Magahern.....'They might face the rising sun' nothing has ever described country life as fully.
