- Me in um band called Stroszek. Me play um bass and um keyboard. Me bespoke developer for um software company 5 minutes from um flat. Me live in Glasgow city centre now. Glasgow full of um neds.
Right, enough of the Little Plum language. Anyway, we're honestly very good, so check us out if you're a fan of Siouxsie & The Banshees, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Joy Division, The Clash or the Manics.
I'm currently re-learning German since I'm obsessed with German films so it seemed like fun. A barrel of laughs I'm sure you'll agree. I've also recently joined the SNP - expect me to be Emperor Of Scotland in 20 years time.

- Manic Street Preachers, The Clash, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, Killing Joke, Nine Inch Nails, Tomahawk, Faith No More, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, anything Mike Patton related, A Perfect Circle, The Cure, The Chameleons, The Smiths, Morrissey, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Magazine, Simple Minds (early stuff), Cardiacs, Secret Chiefs 3, Jane's Addiction, Guns N' Roses, Public Enemy, PiL, Depeche Mode, Type O Negative, Ladytron, Lush, Jah Wobble... fed up writing names. I like stuff that either has great lyrics, or music that isn't content to just copy what everyone else is doing at that particular moment in time. Fortunately, Stroszek excel in both these fields.
- Films
- Werner Herzog stuff, Krzysztof Kieslowski stuff, Alfred Hitchcock stuff, Roman Polanski stuff, and silly action films. Oh okay, I'll list some.
Aguirre Der Zorn Gottes, Stroszek, Woyzcek, Three Colours trilogy, A Short Film About Love, Rebecca, Vertigo, Dial M For Murder, Rear Window, Rosemary's Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, Team America, American History X, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon... oh and of course anything featuring the fantastic Daniel Bruhl, especially Goodbye Lenin!, Das Weisse Rauschen and The Edukators. In fact, German cinema in general is just fucking ace. No one else seems to like foreign films much though, which is a shame cos the Europeans have much more original ideas than Hollywood. Which is why they nick them and turn them into awful remakes. - Sports
- Football, snooker, pool... anything where I can fluke a win by just hoofing the object ball(s) as hard as I can. Except golf, that's just pure, unadulterated shite. Ooh and I do a spot of the old weightlifting, although I'm prone to prolonged periods of laziness, which is quite CLEARLY the only reason I don't look like a midgit version of Hulk Hogan by now. I'm working on the bald spot and long, blonde, shiny hair though.
- Scared Of
- Fish stocks dying out. Which reminds me - you know how people say North-East fish is the best? They're right. Glasgow fish is fucking minging.
- Happiest When
- I'm watching Alan Partridge. Or buying CDs or DVDs. Sometimes I even listen to/watch them (oooh I'm such a scandalous chap). Or eating fish from Aberdeen (or Peterhead or whatever).
- Did you know
- That there are no Dutch elms left in Britain. Totally wiped out.
