Head for Carterton Town Centre - That Big White building opposite Martins!

What are we all about? Well we are here for any young person age 13 to 19, we are a place where you can drop in have a cuppa and a chat, chill out, do what young people do, watch tv, go on the computers and internet and much much more. There are youth workers around who will be friendly and helpful and stuff so talk to them sometimes they are really helpful especially when you are looking for a job or need to have a chat about something thats stressing you out.

Mondays - 3pm to 4.30pm [Bodyzone confidential health drop in - come to see a youth worker or a nurse.]
Mondays - 7.30pm to 10pm [Youth Club for Y9 only]
Tuesdays - 3pm to 5pm [Jobzone come and see a Conx PA]
Wednesdays - 7.30pm to 10pm [Drop in for anyone 13 - 19]
Thursdays - 7.30pm to 10pm [Youth Club for Y10 Only]
Why do we do what we do?
Whats the point in having a youth centre and youth workers? Surely we have something much better to do with our time? Well teenage years can be amazingly good fun but they can also be a royal pain in the bum. In those years we will experience many highs and lows, we will have loads to do and be bored at the same time, we will gain more independence and be out and about with our friends. We will argue with these friends oh and we will most likely argue with our families too. We might think about or try smoking, drinking and / or taking drugs oh and then relationships come into play and we start thinking about sex .... SO many choices and decisions all at the time when life becomes most stressful and teachers start piling on the workand talking about exams - SATS, GCSE's, A-Levels, University. WOAH!!! So youth centres and youth workers exist to get to know young people, be there for them through this time, help them think about the decisions they might be making and to make sure t
What we have !
We have a Coffee bar and lounge area which is free, We also have a large sports hall, with music decks, pool, table football, computers, Wii, Freview TV, video, music and much more !!! Come and find out!

lots of information, internet access and more from our Connexions Access point, where there are leaflets on just about any subject you can think of.


There are often new events and projects being planned so come along and get involved.
Youth Workers
~Shelley!!~ The Area Youth Worker, the big boss, the one whos around the most (because she's full time).
~Madge~ Works on Monday's & wednesday night drop in and Friday nights at Burford (also runs Burford Bodyzone @ Burford school Monday lunchtimes).
~Tania~ Runs the Year 9 night on a Thursday and goes out on Outreach on a Friday.
~Di~ Works with Madge on a Wednesday and at Burford on a Friday.
~Julie~ Works on a Wednesday with Madge and Di and Bampton on a Monday and Thursday with Leanne.
~Leanne~ Works at Bampton on a Monday and Thursday and is now on placement until May running young mums and the baby project!
~Sam~ Works on a Friday for Outreach (and volunteers her time on a Thursday).
~Wiggy~ Works on a Thursday & goes on outreach (has a day job in the RAF and volunteers his precious time for young people [Thanks Wiggy!]).
~Claire~ Comes any night she can when shes around
