- Me, Myself, and I
- I'm Rosie. You can usually find me in Starbucks drinking a latte, in Border's reading ghost books or in the Argyll Arcade looking at the hideous engagement rings. I'm a horror/sci-fi/fantasy/game loving nerd. I've worked in Ross Hall for about 17 years and I'm very shy. I don't do eye contact due to this problem. And I take a beamer if you give me a compliment.
Oh and I play guitar in The Hedrons. And do stuff with Gogobot and MJ Lewis. Check em out.
- Music/TV
- I hate pretentious crap, indie crap, pop crap. I hate everything actually.

Blog for John
This is a specially written blog for John. Basically he wants me to explain how I think SATC is amazing, the way he explained to me why tactics are necessary in football (as opposed to my "boot it up the park and get it in the net" theory). Now this could be quite difficult to explain, because I don't actually know any men who enjoy SATC. I dragged Scott along to see the film the other night and while I (and the 400 other women in the audience) laughed our asses off at the antics of Carrie&Co, especially Samantha, I looked at Scott and there was just a blankness. Probably wondering what the hell he was doing in a cinema full of gal pals of all . ages. The thing about SATC, is that it's just funny. It's real, you can relate to the characters to a certain extent, how they feel or don't feel, and they just cheer us up. I own every boxset for the series, and if I'm feeling annoyed or shitty, I just put it on and I'm instantly cheered up. Kinda like with Friends aswell. Contrary to popular belief, SATC isn't just about sex, it's about the relationships between the gals, the incredibly smart writing and relating to the situations they get into. I find it much more entertaining than some Will Ferrell/Jim Carrey slapstick tripe.
Yes it sometimes seems like the girls live in a fantasy world. But who wouldn't want to live there? I do. TAKE ME THERE!!!!!!
Anyway, who really gives a fuck? It's amazin!! That's all there about it!!!!4 Comments 541 days

The horrors of Glasgow on a Saturday night
Hello. Last night I got invite to a leaving night up in Glasgow. At Frankensteins to be precise. I wasn't doing anything else so I thought "yeahhhhhhh". I've not been out on a Saturday night for years. And now I know why. The streets were crawling with drunken neds, sluts with their wee shorts on and spare tyres hanging out, and kids no older than 13 shouting abuse at everyone that walked past them. I was actually scared. But more than scared, I was horrified. There were folk fighting, girls lying flat out on the street, neds with their souped up big motors going as fast as they could down Union Street. There was hundreds of rubbish from McDonald's lying out in the street and the place was basically a riot. The wee girls were obviously out on the pull, ready for any man that came their way. Now don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against folk going out and getting pissed and having fun. But when it gets what I saw last night, it actually depressed me. Do people not think about how ridiculous and hideous they look in that state? All the wee lassies with their fake tan, peroxide hair, cheap wee shorts and belts and jewellery from Claire's just made me really thankful that I'm not like that. I actually have standards. I wish we lived in a time where people conducted themselves with a bit more class. If I was a tourist and was in Glasgow last night, I would have immediately told all of my friends never to visit. And I'm not being harsh but we actually had to cross the street several times to get out of the way of the gangs. And it's supposed to be the "friendly city". During the day maybe, but at night I'm telling you. Bring protection.....xx7 Comments 569 days

10k
yes I have foolishly signed up for the 10k. Everyone who I've told about this has laughed in my face and shown absolutely no faith in me. You know who you are. So I have decided that I shall post blogs every now and then to report my progress with training, and if I don't complete the run or even do it, then you all have permission to laugh at me and tell me how much of a failure I am. So, today I went for my first jog round the Craigie. I lasted 10 minutes.
I have alot of work to do.3 Comments 599 days
