Heliopause are four beans from Cork and Kerry. Been messing around with instrumental rock and funk for 2 years playing with some great bands, djs and producers from the alternative undercurrent seeping into ireland. In April 2008, they released their self-titled debut EP. The album features some perfectly intricate post rock and math rock sounds with just the most subtle hints of jazzy rock thrown in ala tortoise or even karate. It is available in Plugd Records, Cork and Road Records Dublin. You can also get it from Road Records' website at:

Tales of things to come
Some tracks from the Heliopause EP are now available for download through 7digital's online store on our band page. We are playing a few gigs in cork over the next few weeks with a few really good bands. Cypress Avenue on 29th may with The Vital Spark and the Scailpin Fanach on 4th June with red Star Riot. It's not confirmed yet but we might also be playing with the almighty Vince Mack Mahon in the infirmary on the 31st May. They play a live set with 4 turntablists and it really is a spectacle to behold. If anyone caught the shows we did with Deviant and Jimmy Penguin, its them with 2 more guys. We are also in the process of organising gigs in Limerick and Kilkenny so we'll keep ye posted on those.0 Comments 260 weeks
