      Playing for St Mirren, shitting in a bucket, hanging out with the IRA and Tunnock's Tea Cakes

      I love Andrew Maxwell. I mean, LOVE him. Hysterical and cute: my two favourite characteristics (Well, along with blonde and blue but there's no need to go on stating the obvious). Those who turned down last night's tickets seriously missed out. Amazing night - I hurt so badly when I walked out of the venue from laughing so much. From slagging off various audience members to dealing with some prick from Cornwall who kept attempting to heckle him, he was just awesome. "Brand new Americans" and male sex-toys... Definitely going to see him again come Fringe time and now loving the Magners' Festival as well.

      Trez's instant reaction to the Old Fruitmarket was "Dive"; not completely wrong, but I still liked it; smell of soap powder (or meat) and all. What I didn't like was the divvy sitting to my left but crying even before Maxwell appeared on stage blocked him about a fair bit - "I can't believe I'm still pretending this isn't me". Everyone should go see this man. He is in fact so good that his show compelled me to 'blog'.

      I can't believe the word blog can be used as a verb......

      Anyway, I digress. The moral of the story? Andrew is fan-fucking-tastic and you should all go see him.

      Also insanely funny was Craig Hill (yes, I had a comedy weekend!), who verbally kicked the shit out of a dinner lady from Stobhill Hospital. As well as the Madonna intro and singing "I just don't know what to do with myself" (Libi and Lesley will understand). Good times. The girl with her handbag being raided and strips being torn off her for her make up. Fantastic night. You should go see this guy as well :)

      Bring on Ed Byrne in a couple of weeks!

      He has a lot to live up to.
