Well.... Here we are at the start of a new year.
If this year becomes anything like the past two then I count myself one of the luckiest chaps around!!!!! From the riches that 2007 brought. The experience that came from taking time out to travel to places I never thought I'd see, To my brothers wedding last year which was one of the most amazing days I've ever been part of.
2008 brought a new lease of life which included trips around Europe and highs that I only hope can be repeated.
2009..... Well I started back at school in September of last year, Studying Visual Communication And Photography....The latter part of this term I will be concentrating solely on Visual communication(animation and design) with the opportunity to rekindle my passion for taking a picture in the 2 remaining years of the course..... Me thinks I had a lucky escape to finally get out from the cloud that blocked my sunshine for all those years!

London - 13th-17th of Feb, Marking a day in my life by heading south to reunite with a number of peeps I met during my travels of 2007...... It should be a wicked long weekend.
A Child Is Born - Hmmmm, Difficult to give a date but all being well.... In May I shall become a proud uncle for the first time.

Festivaltime - Hopefully I shall travel over the shores once again to either Budapest for the second time for Sziget which is a week long and on an island in the middle of the Danube or Exit which is in the heart of Serbia( lets just forget T, it ain't worth the moola! )
A passing of age - October. In October I shall reach the apparently awful and thought provoking age of 30 but I have to admit I'm not really submerged in the sadness of turning the big 3-0, Why should I...... Be young, be foolish but be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Paris,Amsterdam and home............................

    So yes.......

    Paris..... A place which I will always have fond memories of,mainly due to the fact I'd spent the last 7 wks traveling and looked forward to sitting by the seine sipping on coffee and thinking about the adventure I'd just been on.......
    I had achieved what I set out to do which was to forget about a past which is better off forgotten about and look to a future where it can only get better..........
    While in Paris I reminded myself of the people I'd met on my trip and what they meant to me during our short meetings and how they changed my attitude towards a lot of things.
    It was the nicest feeling to finely be here and I look forward to the time I can live it all over again....
    During my short visit to Paris,I'd visited all the places I wished to see but the touristy places held no baring on what I wanted to do which like I said it was to reflect..........
    I spent a lot of my time in the Harmonie cafe or another quality place on Boulevard Saint Germaine.. I visited Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde's resting places.. One thing I wanted to see while in Paris.....
    After a few days it was time to leave Paris behind and with a clear head,headed north east to Amsterdam....
    My last train journey was also one of the worst because I understood that that was that and in a few days I'd back on the plane to Aberdeen....
    Meeting up with Ray again was quality,I thought I might have to just turn up at his door because I'd lost my phone,nevertheless I got hold of him and my bed(his sofa) was ready and waiting....
    Now I'm back in Aberdeen and have been back for 2 wks... and I long to start at the beginning once more..... because after all this really is just the beginning!!!!!!
