À propos de moi

À propos de moi
No longer living in the joy that is Scotland :( . I have relocated in an effort to save money and eventually work for myself. Bloody hell but it aint easy and i hate paying good money just to go to work and have psuedorich eejits behave like utter plebs at me. Yes people the daily mail readership must die.
On a happier note I get to take two lovley dogs for walks in the local woods and i dont pay rent any more. Hopefully I'll get another job closer to home soon. Hmm must get back to the job hunting...

I'm gonna admit now that I was excited, very excited at the prospect of this film. Even more excited when I heard that Clare Daines would be playing the Star Yvaine.
However now I've seen the trailer and read a brief prereveiw in a film im a little worried...
Firstly the idea that the writer watched alot of Princess Bride (great film, one of my favourites) while writing it, had me concerned. I know they're not a million miles apart but still they are quite different. Tristran is no Westley and Yvaine is definatley no Buttercup.
Secondley the mention of sky pirates was very worrying-I mean is a murderous chase across fae for both Star and the Power of Stormhold not enough?
Thirdly Ricky BLOODY Gervaise is in it. A man niether funny nor clever (but lauded by every body to be both) whose comedy can and will make me leave a room, has a part playing some character I dont think was ever there in the first place. Frankly after he appears on screen nothing will make it better until he is killed off in a suitably violent manner.
Essentially the first two were forgivable the last, well, I only hope this is the end of the utter tripe we have to put up with in the name of Ricky BLOODY Gervaises rubbish career.

SIGH I will go see it, though I think I will be disappointed.

  • CSI

i read this in the Radio Times letters page and it gave me a chuckle. the person who wrote it is a guy and i just enjoyed his devotion to Caine from CSI: Miami and the way he trashed everyone else.

    Mutiny Over Caine

Please stop mocking CSI:Miami. It was funny at first, but give it up!
Horatio Caine has issues; that's why he has little humour. He's an old fashioned police officer who become emotionally involved in every case in a way Gil Grissom never would for fear of it breaking him.
As for Mac Taylor in CSI:NY- he's a spiteful man who plays mind games with his staff, and enjoys the crime scenes a little bit too much.
    Richard Lawrence
    Worcester

i think maybe this guy has some issues of his own like maybe telling the difference between fiction and reality.

    Hi jess!

I got you present. I haven't opened it yet. I'm waiting until my birthday!
    Thanks very much!
Great minds think alike as they say so we must be super awesome geniuses coz I have already bought and read The Name of the Wind. I really enjoyed it I was a bit sad that it was only the first in the series but I don't mind waiting for the next one.
I just finished reading "Shadow" by K.T. Parker. I thaught it was great. I'm reading Nation by Terry Pratchett. Its great but its not as good as his discworld novels.
I hope everything is going well for you. What have you been up to since you left Starbucks?
