  • Soul Survivor and GCSE Results...

    Okay, so I ended up staying at Soul Survivor for two weeks...I loved it there after the first week and decided to volunteer for the catering team in the second week and had the absolute time of my life...a lot of my outlooks on love, life and God have been challenged and changed in some incredible ways. I have so many stories to tell, so the next time you see me, feel free to ask me about my experiences. I spoke to an insane amount of strangers, and befriended some crazies, but that's what I loved about it.
    Right. I'll leave that alone for the time being (magical as it is).

    The other thing that I need to put out here is my surprise at some of my GCSE results. Some of them, yeah, I'll admit I am disappointed that I didn't do better, but then there are others that I was shocked to find that I'd done better than I thought in.
    As a note to future generations - you really do have to work for GCSEs. I was so lucky to get by with these:

    English: B
    English Literature: B
    Maths: C
    Statistics: C
    Science: C
    Additional Science: B
    Music: B
    History: C
    R & P: B
    ICT: D

    That's the ones I can remember and take from the other sheets, anyway...I might have the Science and Additional Science grades the wrong way round, cuz I've misplaced the main sheet with all of the marks on them.
    I'm comfortable with these results, but not thrilled. I'm very chuffed with the Music B and the History C (considering my History exams read like a stand up script, I think I did good.)
    All the teachers have, and will forever say "Daaaaaannn...you could've done so much better, this wasn't your best". No, it wasn't, but I'm sure if I'd worked harder and REALLY tried to perform, I'd have driven myself mad. And anyway, I really liked Year 11, I'll remember that year forever because of the people I had a good laugh with, and all the trouble I got in for selling cokes to people, rather than the actual "thing-that-counts", the results.

    Hope you guys did your absolute BEST, rather than just winging it like I've done, but if you did wing it, I hope you had a great time doing so :L
