- The band began with the 1989 album 'Bleach' but really broke into the mainstream with the album 'Nevermind' which included Come As You Are, Drain You, Lithium and probably their most widely known song 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Next came a collection of B-sides and rarities called 'Incesticide', it included 'Sliver', 'Aneurysm' and 'Been A Son'. Next was to be their last studio album, 'In Utero'. The surviving members of the band still site this as their favourite album, it contained suck classics as 'Heart-Shaped Box', 'Rape Me', 'Milk It' and 'All Apologies'.
Shortly after the release of the album, Nirvana recorded the now legendary 'Nirvana Unplugged' session for MTV. Nirvana played an amazing set with included 'Man Who Sold The World', 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' and special guests The Meat Puppets. However, Kurt Cobain commited suicide (murder?) in April of 1994. A boxset was recently released of rare Nirvana songs called 'With The Lights Out'.
