I love football. There's no two ways about it. It rocks.

But not that pussy sport where they collapse like they've been run over by a bus from someone kicking the ball near them. No. I'm talking about full contact, take the opponent's head off, 720 degree mid-air spins football. You might know it as the football of America. I play for loads of teams. Sometimes, it gets confusing, but that might be the getting-hit-in-the-head thing ;)

I'm at the University of Glasgow, the world's finest educational institution, studying Stats (I know).

Back stewarding (again)! Can't believe it's almost been a year! It's been great fun. Come on down to Reflex for a totally random, cheesy night out.

Who I'd Like To Play With
Other than all my past and present team mates (except u Choat), I'd love to run behind Lorenzo Neal and Olin Kreutz. I love my blockers. Also Barry Sanders and Sean Taylor (R.I.P.) back in the day, even tho I'd be on the bench the whole game, it'd be amazing just to watch them up close and train with them.
Who I'd Like To Play Against
My ideal schedule: Loughborough, Newcastle, Teesside, Birmingham, Stirling, Paisley, Cally, Edinburgh, San Diego, New England.

I'd love to play against Zach Thomas and Brian Urlacher. I wouldn't last a quarter, but watching the video in hospital would be worth it. I reckon I'd probably take Barrett Ruud tho.

I love training against J-Moss, he's got all the little moves and tricks. I'd like to test myself against the real thing, but I'll maybe wait till ole' Randy is 50-something.

    • Move over Tigers, here come the Pirates

      Well the Tigers made the playoffs, despite the drama of losing games against the worst teams known to mankind, beating some pretty solid teams and then scrambling around trying to play our last game anywhere at anytime just to make the playoffs. A TD with 24 seconds left on the clock gave us the W and a spot in the playoffs, but we got knocked out in the 1st round by the Newcastle "Bore-you-to-death Double Wing" (which got them to the final).

      We played Newcastle twice and lost both times by a total of 16 points. No-one else got within 16 points over 1 game! Surely this makes us the #3 team in the country?

      Anyways, the focus is on Pirate ball now. Just 4 weeks til the season kicks off and we're looking pretty good. We just need to work really hard over the next month and start to build some intensity towards the beginning of the season.

      1st game is a massive grudge match against West Coast Trojans. There's no love lost between the 2 teams, despite the fact we've never even played each other before. It's going to be a bloodbath!

      Fri April 10th: Pirates Ceilidh, GUU
      Sat April 11th: My Birthday Night Out
      Sun April 12th: Go to training while massively drunk!

      Sun May 3rd at King George V Memorial Playing Fields, 2pm: West Coast Trojans!!!

    • Tigers keep rolling

      We'll our offense and defense may have changed almost beyond recognition, but it's still the same old Tigers. Playoff-bound and picking up steam, I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks.

      Just played the meatier part of our schedule and 3 great performances have left us with 1 foot in the playoffs, just waiting on a league decision to clinch it, but failing that, a big win against Sunderland will give us another trip to Newcastle to look forward to.

    • Blog Time Once Again!

      Not done this thing for ages, so time to bring it back. What's been happening in the life of the Pebbley one, I hear you say!

      Well I've been broke for quite a while, so I finally have a job and some money coming in. A bit further back I started coaching for my beloved Tigers. It's been going quite well, but has been frustrating at times. Even further back I went to Beijing to compete in the 'Mind Olympics'. It was great fun, but we didn't do so well.

      Further back than that and it all starts to go hazy. I remember tearing everything in my ankle a bit over a year ago and it's not really better, so I'm going to be working my ass off to get it better, if it doesn't see an improvement in a year I'm going to have to give up football, and I really don't want that! Otherwise I've just been plodding along. I don't really like that, or the direction I've been plodding in, so it's all going to change. You'll see a whole new Pebbley one soon. I might be called Uncle Ron or something like that then.
