Well, where do I begin? From 4 year olds to 98 year olds, BBQs to prayer vigils, washing up to leading worship! I don't think my year could have been more varied! Every time I'm asked the question, "How have you found your year?" I usually have a different response. But my most over-used would have to be "Where has it gone!?", I left northern ireland at 18 with limited experience, untold fears, but a heart to serve. This year has challenged me in ways I never imagined. On my trial weekend at my placement during a buzzing worship session, I told God I would follow Him all of my days, wherever He would take me whatever that entailed.... And He has certainly tested that! I've realised how easy it is to say that when we're in our comfort zones, but when you're miles away from home, have just taken three youth groups, and are struggling to stay awake to read your Bible never mind pray it all becomes apparent, that dependance on God will only ever take you this far, and still lead you on. I'll be honest, this year I have really wrestled with God, doubts, fears, emotions and selfish desires have all played a big role, but now as i near the end of my time here at Fellside I can look back and say I wouldn't have had it any other way. He has made us more than conquerors, the question is, willl you let Him prove that? I dare you to dream big, to let God break your heart over the UK, to step out and stand up. These people who are attempting to force the ways of circumcision on you have only one motive: They want an easy way to look good before others, lacking the courage to live by a faith that shares Christ's suffering and death. All their talk about the law is gas. … They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast of their success in recruiting you to their side. That is contemptible! For my part, I am going to boast about nothing but the Cross of our Master, Jesus Christ. Because of that Cross, I have been crucified in relation to the world, set free from the stifling atmosphere of pleasing others and fitting into the little patterns that they dictate. Can't you see the central issue in all this? It is not what you and I do—submit to circumcision, reject circumcision. It is what God is doing, and he is creating something totally new, a free life! All who walk by this standard are the true Israel of God—his chosen people. Peace and mercy on them! (Galatians 6:12-16 — The Message)

Circumcision represented to the Jews submission to the law and in Paul’s writing to the Galatians that is was He is referring to. He was pointing out the fallacy of submitting to the law instead of submitting to God and gaining the freedom and life that the law of love brings. Paul points this out because of the cross. Jesus died for us and was raised from the dead. Therefore, we are not bound by the law; we are not required to “fit” into someone else’s idea of how we should live, act, follow God, or anything else. Our calling is to please God, not man. We please God when we love Him, worship Him, live our lives out of love for Him, ourselves, and others. We let Him live through us and do for us that which we cannot do for ourselves.

There is no freedom in living by rules and regulations and the desires of others. This has been stated time and time again by Paul and Jesus. The law brings death. Faith in Jesus and following him (living by love) brings life and freedom. You become free to live and love as God created you to live and love. This will not sit well with those who desire to control what you do, how you do it, and when and where you do it for it takes away their control. God has called us to listen to Him, to love Him first, and love others in any way we can. We do what we hear Him calling us to do. God will not be controlled by anyone. He wants to work, move and love through you His way, even if it does not fit the agenda, desires, image and opinions of others.

Go do what God has laid on your heart to do and don’t be hindered by rules and regulations that take away life. Live by the law of love.

Well dollys and trolls lol i finally made it, thru that whole 30min flight lol im tryin to leave comments for ppl as much as i can but i wont be on here much so il try and update this or get a prayer email started but dont be offended if i dont contact u personally...afterall im not that special lol! thanx so much to all of you for making my last month the best one this year, in a way im regretting seeing you all so much coz now i just miss u all even more lol even the ones i only saw once or twice! neway i best go, no rest for the wicked lol but wud be good to hear from u all, keep me posted on how ur all gettin on and if u need anything done or prayed about!
