It's rather odd, I've been enjoying a fair bit of this Metal lark for a good while now and one band which everyone has heard of has tended to evade me, save for a few songs which everyone has heard, and that band is Iron Maiden.
I've yet to come up with a reason for telling everyone this, it's just the result of a bit of a Maiden influx to my musical tastes. Although I titled this entry 'Different World' and yes it's a good song, and it has been played a good six to ten times today, but it isn't the one I'm going to suggest you go listen to which, unless you are already listening to it, is Rainmaker.
It's just fun to listen to, the lyrics are great and consist of a good degree of imagery which goes along nicely with the music. It's also got a solo about midway which made me smile. It's got a pace different to the more common Iron Maiden 'galloping' sound which I personally enjoyed.
So with that brief digression into review kingdom out of the way, I guess the point of this is to ask you to go listen to a bit of Iron Maiden, whether you are a fan or not. -and if you aren't you might be afterwards-
