- Metallica is an American heavy metal band. They were formed in October 1981. With 57 million albums sold in the United States, and 35 million albums sold outside the U.S., the band has sold just over 90 million albums making them one of the most commercially successful heavy metal acts in history. Metallica are currently 18th on the RIAA's list of top selling acts in the United States.
After building a following through its role in the development of modern heavy metal, especially thrash metal, (considered the leader of the "big four" of thrash metal, which also included: Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) in the mid-1980s, the band broadened its audience in the early 1990s. Accordingly, the band has stood as the most commercially visible example of the metal genre since the beginning of that decade.

The big update is... that there is nothing new to report. Things are as you would call it, status quo, consistent, constant, invariable, unaltered, unchanged, unfailing, uniform, unvarying. Pretty much what we are trying to say is: work is continuing and all is good in the Metallica hood. As soon as we do have something new to report, you will be the first to know of course! To be saved paste this to 5 other bands. THIS IS TRUE Now uv started readin dis dun't stop. This is so scary. Send this to 5 ova bands in 143 Minutes.
