- Well here we go I am the one the only Marshall Mathers - stage names include eminem and slim shady but the most famous has to be Eminem! Eminem is for "M in M" or my real name Marshall Mathers. I was born in Kansas City, grew up in Detroit.
At the age of 14 I was attracted by the lifestyle of rappers. The first group in which I joined was the "Motor City duo Soul Intent". But I had many difficulties because people had never seen a white rapper and were full of prejudices towards me. But then the general opinion changed and I was called "great white hope". I had recorded two albums: "Slim Shady" in 1999 and "The Marshall Mathers" in the summer of 2000.
Recently I have a daughter, whose name is Hailie Jade Scott.
