• Flingin the bad guys, Random Jakies, the Jason-mobile and the fitbaw

  Well what a weekend you guys. For those who don't know I'm featuring on a DVD series called Night is Day which I'm also producing and this weekend was the first couple days of filming.
  
  Boy, do we have our fair share of weirdos and numpty-heids running about on the streets Glasgow. Who would have guessed that every drunken guy that seemed to pass by thought themselves to be the ideal replacement for most of the cast. Trust us to start filming on a weekend where both Glasweigan football teams (Celtic and Rangers) had games on. The cast and crew were real troopers managing to keep face while the weirdos of Glasgow wanted to be in the forefront of our production.
  
  Saturday's shooting went well apart from the odd rangers supporters drunkenly singing down the street we were on, but since we were thankfully inside, we didn't have to actually deal with them. Not that we would have since the flat was just down the road from Ibrox... we would have got chibbed.
  
  The evening shoot in New Dennistoun Parish Church went very very well. We buckled down and got a lot done and the banter was top notch. When we release the behind the scenes, I'm sure you'll see the Jason-mobile (a toy car Chris who plays Jason commondeers) and other random funny stuff.
  
  We were sorely let down by our intended location on Sunday, even though we'd reminded them (again) only mere hours of our arrival and how tight a schedule we had. Thinking on our feet - the wonderful 13th Note bar allowed us into their club downstairs for as long as we needed. Super-kudos to them. Next time, I'll opt for making plan C's rather than running about like a headless chicken around Glasgow.
  
  Once we got going in 13th Note, everyone did a fab job. The ceiling was waaaaay lower than I expected to have. I was supposed to throw a 'demon' over my shoulder, although if I'd done the throw I wanted to do 'ipponseonage' I'd've bounced poor Crawford (the demon) off the ceiling. So I opted for a seotoshi and left it at that. Oh, and who knew that throwing someone with heels on would be sooooo hard. I did think about taking the heels off, as they weren't really seen, although Matt the first AD didn't want me to lose any height. So as for the first stunt for the second series, we did alright. Crawford was a big bloke... over 100 kilo... seeing a 64 kilo 5ft 1inch woman throwing him, I think it looks fab.
  
  The evening was spent shooting outside the 13th Note and along the same street. Unfortuantely the weather turned sour after meeting an annoying drunk man. By that point, I ushered all the younger cast an crew into the safety of a nearby bar, then I came out to make sure there wasn't a riot on the street. All it would have taken would have been a nice wee phonecall to the police, as they already knew we were filming there. *sigh*
  
  A couple bits may be reshot, but nothing that we need the extras for, so that's cool.
  
  Can't wait for a week on Saturday to get back on the road and get more Night is Day shot!
  
  OK, enough with the procrastination... I must work.

  You think "mutual welfare and benefit" means taking turns strangling each other to the point of unconsciousnes.
  During intimate relations with the opposite sex, you find yourself thinking, "Wow, he/she's wide-open for an armbar."
  You just don't feel right unless your body feels like a six-ounce steak after a hard session with the tenderizer.
  Your list of desirable qualities in the opposite sex includes: "attractively placed gi burns on the face and neck," "never submits until arm is ready to break," and "wicked drop seoi-nage."
  People refuse to hug you, shake your hand, etc., because you never let go until they tap out or someone yells "Matte!"
